Just checking. Do you all know your neighbours' names?

And if someone new moved in, how soon would you introduce yourself in the old English style over a watery cup of tepid tea & a dry well passed-by-sell date biscuit?

This query was brought about because someone hand delivered a Christmas card through my letterbox yesterday addressed to 'Sue & Allan'. No idea who they are - I've been here three years & my neighbours, who have resided in the road for years, looked blankly when I raised the query with them.

So, Sue & Allan, if you are reading this posting, pop around for your card. I'm intrigued about your existence. A watery cup of tea & a dry just passed-by-sell date biscuit on offer - but only if you appreciate such a glorious welcome. This generous offer is not repeatable should you darken my doorway more than once a year. ;-)

Well Ralphie's paw seems to have stopped bleeding...Vet can't see him till tomorrow but we'll get it checked out then anyway. Had to get the blood off the hall carpet, mats in kitchen and wash the kitchen floor.... As I say think it looked worse than it was :-0

I did hubby's job of popping out for the newspaper this morning and came back with yet more smoked salmon so we had some with scrambled egg for breakfast and it was delish.

Been down to my pal's to take her a pressie, and got one in return. :-D

We tidied up the spare room and made up the bed this morning for Grandson on Christmas night, and found a bag of presents that should have been taken over to Lincolnshire on Monday :-0 :-0

We'll have to take them over sometime between Christmas and new year :-(

Back again, back again jiggety jig!

Well, we have 3 branches of the upmarket supermarket in our area, and I chose the one where I thought it would be quietest. And although it was not empty, the queues were manageable. So, that is that, done and dusted. I have lost the will to live now with shopping. ;-)

Daughter and I used to go to Bluewater a few years ago. We had to make note of where she parked her car, because we would never find it again. We did go once just before Christmas one year, and swore we would never do it again. Once bitten.........

Lyn, not so done-and-dusted then. :-0 We've probably all done similar things in the past. In fact, I've just found two small things for our granddaughter tucked away with our daughter's pressies! As you know, we took her home last night but I know it won't be long before we see her again so no special journey like you have to make.

Maddie, you are all done-and-dusted ..... hope you don't find anything missing tomorrow. :-0
