I've been with both children and every grandchild. Like McD's, it's a right of passage for the young, I think.

Hello all my lovely friends <3 <3 <3

I have had a really brilliant day :-D :-D :-D

As you all know it started off with that ring on the door bell <3 <3 <3 wonderful surprise <3

Then out to the party. 50 of us catered for, tables all set out beautifully too.

Pate with toast, really yummy, then a chicken roast with all the trimmings followed by chocolate gateaux. They ran out of xmas pud :-D :-D and I mustn't forget a couple of glasses of wine !

during our meal there was a lady singing loads of songs then 2 guitar players, looked like old teddy boys with lovely voices singing all the old well known songs. A lot of us got up and danced and a chap asked me to dance too. Held me rather too close for comfort if I remember rightly. My friend said she thinks I had pulled !!

;-) ;-)

Then Santa came in with 2 elves and we took it in turns to sit on his lap :-D :-D

I told him I had been a really good girl and my prezzie was a little snowman that lit up and changed colour. :-D :-D

A really lovely day from start to finish :-D <3 <3

Here's where to get your eyes taken out as far as food is concerned.

Late on Monday afternoon a friend and I went to a cafe/restaurant for a coffee before returning home. It was Patisserie **ler** , now a fairly well-known company. I was asked if I would like cream on top and they charged an extra 65 pence for a dollop of cream!

Also they charge a huge amount for afternoon tea when compared with others, even at one of our lovely old castles now converted into a hotel where I go often with my bestie and with the grandchildren too.

I think some firms are greedy so-and-sos.

Ralphie has been ok....his paw eventually stopped bleeding....I took him for a walk this afternoon and it didn't bleed again and he was feeling it a bit :-)

He'll still go to the Vets though....that's his surprise for tomorrow :-0
