I'm saying nothing!!!
I Put a thread up about my lovely gran - in prison in 1939.
On investigation - she was 'up' for 68 charges of fraud.
Illegally collecting for the 'Distress Fund' (that would be herself!) :-( :-S

Obviously everyone has the 1939......Oh well am off to get some shut eye after a very busy day....

one of my rellies was living in Winchester 1939 ... he was a miagistrate. Just a thought.

Sue, have just seen this. I would love to have info. re my paternal grandmother.
Born 1891. her name was Christina MacArthur/McArthur. Campbell.
Married surname was Thomas but by 1939 I believe that was was living with a Norman Whitehead and may have been using his surname.

I believe that she was living in Hereford in 1938, but also lived in Bromyard, Herefordshire. and Gloucester, Gloucestershire.

Would also like to know who else was in the same household. and any details of Norman.

Hope that this isn't too complicated.

Itloks like Noman was already married too.

One of these days I'll get to the Hereford Records Office and check out a few things about my ancestors from that County.

Having this address will be a great way to find more info about Christine/Christina and Norman.
We know very little sbout my grandmother, because she was 'cast out" by her family when she left her husband.

There is a Frederick V Narlies 1907 in Leicester. 32 Hawkes Hill....would that be one of yours?

Susan, he was my grt grandfather and just thought
I'd take a chance and take up your offer of help.

Don't know where he was born, who his parents were
he was Alexander Nerrlie c1836.

There are quite a lot of us in different parts of the world
but none have come up with the above info.

Married a Saunders Milly?

Born July 20 1902. ......Housekeeper

Euston Cross, Okehampton

She is in the same household as John Saunders ( May 13 1882) agricultural engineer
and Mary Ann Saunders ( 14 Nov 1881 ) incapacitated


Am not sure yours would be on there Emma unless they were in their 90's

Would he have been born in Scotland Emma?.....

No record that I can find Susan, told born Inda, USA but
can't find anything.

He died in Scotland and have his death cert. But no info
re his parents.

A long shot I know but just thought I would ask you.

He did not live to be in his 90's
