Mayfield

Mayfield Report 25 Jun 2016 08:57

Last weekend we had a family mid year Christmas, turkey with all the trimmings, Christmas pud, crackers and a small gift for everyone. It was brilliant all the fun without that panic leading up to it. :-D

Kids got to go to the beach first and play in the garden too!

Merry Christmas everyone! :-D

I'll tell you what I'd like, what I'd really really like .....

A WRAPPING ROOM for Christmas please.

Saw this on one of the million million American homes show on telly once (can't remember the show's proper name) and it was love at first sight <3 <3 <3

To have the rest of the house tidy and to have a room with shelves full of paper, ribbons, gift bags, sticky tape and all the paraphernalia that goes with them, with a long table for wrapping must be bliss. :-D <3 :-D <3

It's gone past the summer solstice so you should have your sprouts on now.

Christmas cake can be started as you have to feed it with a favourite spirit. It needs at least a weekly shot and must be more than 20 shots to make it moist enough, we don't want a dry cake.

Puddings can be made and fruits soaked with alcohol for at least 24 hrs.

This is the way to have a happy Christmas.

OH's brandy is my spirit of choice. :-D

Pat, it's almost two years since I made a Christmas cake and about a month before Christmas I handed it to a relative to slice in memory of a special and much-loved relative.

Began to make another then discovered that, instead of brandy. I had picked up the Tia Maria. Having not heard any complaint about the original, I rang and had to wring out of the rellie how they had all had one mouthful and couldn't eat it. :-0

Last year I bought one. :-D
