I dislike this flower fest that takes over where someone has lost their life and if any were attached to my property they would be off pdq

Totally agree Joy, and as for just taking flowers down you're dealing with a gang of people who are obviously not sane so what might they do to you??

People like the family of the burglar call distant relatives and friends to back them when they want to intimidate others. They are cowardly thugs and thieves and get away with all sorts of things because thc police sre scared of them.

I feel so sad for the pensioner and his wife whose lives have been turned upside down. They will never have peace now wherever they move to and will spend the rest of their lives under threat. It's wrong and so unfair.

I really hope someone oversteps the mark at the "shrine" and the police are forced to act. These dreadful people shouldn't be allowed to intimidate the whole area.

I thought when it was all reported that the pensioner and his famiiy would have to move because his name and address was spread all over and thugs who have no conscience about breaking in to someone's home ,or their family and associates , will want revenge

His family are trying to downplay his actions that he was just a poor man who had no other options and didn't deserve to die

Well he got stabbed with the screw driver weapon he took into the house so seems he would have tried to intimidate at the least the homeowner with it

I feel sorry for the pensioner , he went through a very dramatic experience and didn't ask for someone to break in but he will now suffer all the upheaval its caused

The daft thing is that Vincent didn’t die there. He died in hospital.

I’ve never seen the point in ‘Memorials’ or extravagant funerals. Donations to a charity would do more good.

I'm not sure if it's sad or worrying that his family seem so hell bent on pointing out he was "innocent and murdered" in their eyes. The way the World is so crazy these days the police will arrest someone for stealing the flowers, rather than this gang saying they will get revenge on a senior citizen.

So what is it now three times they've put flowers up and someone has torn them down....at what point will the police actually do something obviously it's at boiling point for both sides now....then again what can they do?? Well there are threats being made, there's littering, possible damage to the fence...is it at the stage where they could charge inciting a riot yet?

I am always a bit dubious of florists.

Have you ever noticed that there is only one group of people who profit from EVERY disaster? Funny,I thought.

Can you imagine how much has been spent on all those flowers?? If I were a florist in the area I'd be putting the prices up nice little earner right now!

They were a charming couple of women putting those flowers on the fence, weren't they. On a similar note, I don't remember the Queen tearing down the flowers on the railings of Buck House after the death of St. Diana.

I am so annoyed and disgusted the police are threatening to arrest those pulling down the flowers. Where is the justice in that why support the *********@@XX that are putting them up.

I hoped that report about arresting them wasn't right, let's hope they don't I can see a riot if they do.

As for the "ladies" placing the flowers I'm sure they're lovely to their cats and help old ladies cross the road.....oh hang on...

Apparently the police are asking for respect on both sides! It means they are condoning the flowers bring put up even tho it isn't even the right position. I think the man died when his accomplice allegedly pulled out the weapon from the wound and threw it aside before he tried and failed to get him into their white van.
