Well would you believe it. I went into a small coop today and what greeted me as I came through the door?....A stand full of Easter Eggs...not just crème eggs but Maltesa ones etc.

I had to do a double take..really. We haven't even got to valentines day yet for goodness sake.

Well I was so annoyed at seeing that, it just made me more determined not to buy any.

Besides, those eggs will sit there under the lights of the shop and the heat for 3 months, hardly going to be quality chocolate by Easter are they.?
So who decided on this sales pitch I wonder?

If it was my shop, I would be concentrating how to sell off all the existing pre xmas stock before ordering any new things.

Florence in the hebrides :-S

Don't worry they have stock rotation. They should have hot x bins too.
Choc eggs out of season are no more illogical than strawberries in January.
Enjoy

I'd like a dark choccy egg, please Florence. If it comes with a mint or a ginger flavour it'll go down a treat.

:-D

If you want Easter eggs this year you might as well buy them now as there won't be many on sale after B-day. ;-)

PatinCyprus Report 5 Jan 2019 11:19

Wrong Rollo, I was eating strawberries with my muesli this morning, we are in our strawberry season which finishes as Wimbledon finishes. I'm sure people in the southern hemisphere have strawberries at the moment.

When on here with contributors from round the world you can't generalise like that, you should qualify the statement by adding UK somewhere in the statement. ;-) :-D
