Very well done, TJ!! My husband stopped on February 28th - finally listened to medical advice. He was speaking to a retired chemist who told him just how long he was likely to live with his combination of high blood pressure/family history of heart trouble and smoking. He can't do much about the family medical history but by stopping smoking he has managed to keep the blood pressure stable.

Thanx everyone - I'm pleased with myself - i really am - the terrible things now are tho' 1. My hubby smokes and i can smell stale tobacco on his clothes, skin, hair etc and i am discusted to think i smelt like that myself!!!!!!!1 2. I can't stop eating food!!!!!!! Don't want to get fat

Hi TJ, I was just thinking about you the other night wondering how you were doing, well her I am cigarette in hand typing at the same time with two fingers ohhhhhhhhh how awful. You are doing so well 8 days is great, keep going and look at all that extra cash for Christmas too. Plus the added benefit of being fitter and no awful ashtray smell!!! Never mind the eating that will pass, you will loss weight because you will be a lot healthier too. You keep going girl!!!!! Betty

I am still waiting for this virus to pass and the breathlessness to stop period - still dependant on the steroids unfortunately - that reminds me i need to get arepeat prescription for my inhaler. Must go do that now.......

You are really a star TJ ! Just think that you would have smoked another 360 cigarettes, had you not given up when you did. It may take a little while for you to feel the benefits of not smoking but you've made a start and that's the hardest thing. Aileenx
