Gwynne, wallowing, good choice of words. Am astounded that noone has mentioned The Smiths. 'The boy with the thorn in his side' is a good one for me, or perhaps 'there is a light that never goes out' Several of the songs already mentioned - including 'days', 'everybody hurts' and 'the long and winding road'.
