I have only been to two - Status Quo in Brighton, who were fab live - and Take That - who danced very nicely in small shiny costumes ... I'll stop now before I embarrass myself!!! |

Sorry only one, but what a one. Bob Dylan at Earls Court absolutely fantastic!! Lynda Nearly forgot Manfred Mann at Sussex University, nearly saw them too. They were so late going on they were actually booed off. |

Robbie Williams at Knebworth Madonna at Wembley for her Girlie Tour After seeing those two in concert the rest of the groups/artists I've seen seem rubbish! - Jason Donovan. New Kids on the Block, Status Quo (dragged along by my parents!), Stock Aitken and Waterman artists for a Charity Xmas show at Albert Hall, Bucks Fizz, erm, theres probably loads of others but cant think of them at the mo (or too embarrased to admit!) Don't get the opportunity to get to that many gigs and don't think I can come up with 8, but my favourites to date are: AC/DC - Cologne Stadium, 2001. Aging power-house rockers, who can still put on a mean act, complete with all the major props (the blow-up Rosie doll, the cannons, etc..). Culminated in a fireworks display. Wearing band t-shirt as I write!! Radiohead - Rock-am-Ring Festival, Nurburgring circuit, 2001. Magical gig. Guitarist Jonny Greenwood hopping about from playing guitar one moment to keyboards the next, whilst also flicking and turning switches like a mad scientist to produce all kinds of sound effects. Damp evening but no-one cared. Managed also to pick up a bootleg cd of their gig, at a record fair, a few months after R.E.M. - Cologne cathedral square, 2001. Free gig for the first 1,000 people who turned up! Beautifully sunny spring day. Got there at 1pm and sat in the packed square with loads of Germans and waited until 9pm when the band played. |

I can do artists but am a little vague on dates - for some of them I was a little vague on artists at the time, but that just shows my age ..... The Jam - farewell tour at Wembley Arena Michael Jackson in about 1983 at Wembley Stadium Bruce Springsteen the week before Live Aid at Wembley Stadium David Bowie (China girl time can't remember name of tour) Milton Keynes Bowl Meat Loaf twice at Wembley Arena approx 1980 and 1990 maybe Culture Club/Paul Young/that one with the beehive hairdo who Michelle Collins sang with Martha Wilson is it?? - about 1984 when Culture Club first came out at the Lyceum in the Strand One for Rick and Andy to laugh at - Take That at Earls Court in 1995 Rose Royce - can't remember where must've been about 1979??? That'll do - won't mention David Essex ok?? Maz. XX |
