Been cold here today but it has been dry.....

I overslept this morning by half a hour, it really starts the day off bad.........never mind - tomorrow is another day !!

Well Cornelius seems to be keeping you busy Rose and Rog.

Another busy day in school, I was left running a whole class again today because the class teacher was off sick. Saying that, there are a total of 19 in the class, ten arrived in this morning and by lunch time two had gone home not well so I was left with the grand total of 8 children for the whole day. Priceless :)

Hello All,

Just had an e mail from my 1st cousin once removed, she has just found out my great aunt - her gmother - had a substantial hotel out in India which had a large amount of staff and she had many servents of her own. I was told a long time ago my grandmother had a large manor house and a company which imported and exported nails, screws ect but i have never been able to back this up, so i will now go along these lines to see if i can find anything - fingers crossed for me !!!!

Jacky it's great getting more concrete information like that, certainly seems to be backing up what you already knew.

Had a supply teacher in today to cover for the class teacher who has been off. Well I'm sorry, I went to my head at lunch time after spending the morning with her and said 'I'll do the job for half the price!' (supply teachers get £140 PER DAY!) Head told me jovially 'I think your being fascetious!' lol :) I ran the class the way I have been the last two days while I was on my own. I sorted out the aassessment test we're doing this week - reading spelling and maths and I sorted out the parents evening appointment times for next week. The woman harrassed me right through my forty minute lunch break. I was told at the end of the day that 'she was the supply teacher we swore we wouldn't have in again.' Great! No wonder she's always available, she must go to a school once and not be asked back again. Still, she provided me with some priceless memories!

nice day up to now here , hope it lasts .
my daughters friend , is really upset . her son didnt get in the school even though her daughter goes . they are non catholic , but others have getting in who are not and dont have any siblings in the school seems to be unfair .
