Just popping in (while i still can, lol) to say what a lovely day we had yesterday, and yes we got home safely...about 10:45.

Unusually for us we were among the last to leave, and along with Suzy made sure Rosie got a taxi home in safety......not sure who we were protecting, Rosie or the Londoners, lol

We had a great time and it was well worth the drive there and back, but it's definitely a stay over next time....yes Dee there will be a next one, although it may have a different name.

It was lovely to see so many old faces, and a few new ones, and a shame some of the old ones were missing, such as Jan and Rick, Daisy and Joy. We missed you.

Had a lovely time, it was great to get out and see all of you brilliant people again. Sorry if I embarrassed anyone by showing off my (not quite so) baldy head! Gwen, when it gets long enough I think I'll go the same colour as you!

Thanks to Maz for taking over the organizing from our Lynda, and everyone else who made it such a fun meet.

Smashing to see you Jean, and looking so well, and a big MWAH for the delicious box of chocs... xxx

And if Rick and Jan are looking in, ta for the hugs and the Smarties, LOL!!....hope you have a good holiday xx

Rosie needed protecting?

Just a few quick words of thanks to the admirable Maz (who so readily forgave me for not recognizing her when she first said hello to me), and Lynda ( whose hospitality and warmth is second to none) for their time and effort in bringing us all together yesterday.

I am never easily pleased ……………….. but yesterday found me most content.

I entered that room a shivering wreck, not knowing what horrors I might be facing…….. yet within minutes I were engulfed in the warmth of a thousand hearts.

My thanks to Chris H, who was my perfect hostess.

That Bibliomaniac who exceeded my every expectation ………………… but it remains to be seen if my pleadings will see her amongst us once more.

That most admirable Dee from Bexleyheath ……………….. with whom I could have spoken forever.

The good Lady Vivienne, who has suffered two of my failed promises to kiss her hand, yet so graciously received me on this occasion.

And I cannot believe that I had to ask the good Lady Jane to write down her elaborate board name so that I would not mistake her for another ! And I wonder if My Lady might pass on my compliments to her fine knight ……………. whose more than firm handshake is still reverberating up my arm !

I am most grateful to those fine ladies Joy and Meercat, whose hugs, in their absence, were delivered with gusto by the effervescent Julie.

Have I mentioned Suzy Camay ? If not then I miss a fine Lady whose company I must share more often on this Board.

And how could I ever forget Rosy ………………………. and one of our Australian friends whose limited command of the English language almost brought about the bar brawl to end all bar brawls ! …………………. LOL

And Monsieur Owen !!! …………… whose affinity and affability did warm my heart.

Those Ladies from Kent were most agreeable ………………………. and the fun loving Viv and Ann do hold me to a promise which I fear I may not deliver. And I have not forgotten Dizzi or Pat.

There were so many others …………… and I pray they might forgive me for failing to mingle sufficiently.


But I have left one until last .

I came looking to offer comfort to a dear friend ……………….. yet within seconds of seeing her once more I were swept off my feet ………….. literally.

My Lady Jean is the most agreeable company I have yet to savour ……………………… and her hugs are second to none ! ….. LOL

We will no doubt see many more meets such as this My Lady.

And I shall be most content if the company is just as rich !

I'm sorry I haven't posted earlier ..... I had an absolutely brilliant day, thanks to Anne and Chris for taking me !

I have been charged with organising the next one Dee .... this was not the last one by a long chalk.

I will post and pm people when I get a date sorted but I wiil be unable to book anywhere as I don't live in London. I hope to make it early in the New Year.
