my dad had a cure for chilblines ...run round the garden in the snow with nothing on your feet god that was a killer ..stil remember his face watching us ..laughing at all 3 of us in the garden

My Sis and I didn't realise all the sayings our Mum had until she passed.....she was full of wise words, and two of her sayings were....

Its the time spent with your children that matter Sally, not the money spent on them....

Don't say anything that you are not prepared to say to people's faces.....

Hi there , can I add to the sayings ?
My Dad when going out for a pint would say he "was going to see a man about a dog"
Next morning I would search in vain for the dog, never did find one though!.

my mam used to say to us, the dog for the hard road, the pup for the path, another one was if you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.
