Agnes Ross married Thomas Millan/Milne 1905, Canongate, Gros number 685/3/65, the surname was misspelt.

Sorry for the long delay in replying - I don't use this site normally. My great grandmother was married to Andrew Simpson - he was her second husband as her first husband - Thomas Milne - my great grandfather died in Gallipoli in 1915. so we may have a half connection. My grandfather was David Milne.

The 2nd paragraph is from Susan on the 26/8/2024, I contacted Susan last year, I was pleased she got back to me, but still waiting on her opening her message.

Andrew Simpson born 1878 had a sister Margaret born 1887, she married James McColgan 1919, Edinburgh, it is Margaret and James 2nd marriage, James McColgan is my husbands Great Grand Father.

Thank you for all the information regarding the Ross/Milne family, I will follow it up when I am in Edinburgh.

Scotland's People does not recognise Millan as a "fuzzy match" for Milne, so the 1905 marriage doesn't show up unless you know to search specifically for Millan, or enter Mil*.
