Find Ancestors

Hi I am trying to find Carpenters who lived or live in Wealdstone or Watford areas. My father was born there but he had lots of half brothers and sisters. Havent got much of a clue except that he was born in Wealdstone to James Carpenter and Annie Carpenter nee Franklin. He was their only child but had lots of half brothers and sisters. He can't remember any of their names but thinks there was a george and a william. Does anyone know of the family or can point me in the right direction. My dad's name is Harold James Carpenter and was born in 1922. James Carpenter, his dad, died in 1943 in London. His Mum Annie Louise Carpenter died in Stanmore Middx in 1965 or 66.

Thanks to everyone who posted a reply. I think the reply from Moody Blue is the marriage of my grandfather and grandmother. I'm not so sure about the birth as my grandmothers birthday was in march and she died in Nov. Also to Christine I am wading through all the births you sent and will let my dad look through them to see if he recognises any of them. I will also ask him about the date of his dad's death, thanks again to everyone.

Do let us know if Dad recognizes any of the names.Hopefully we can get a surname.

Do you have James' death certificate? If not, I would perhaps rethink his year of death and place some interest in the 1950 one in Hendon.
He sounds quite a good bet as in the 1911 census he has children with names that your father believes he remembers ie George & William.
