Wow Derek...

Could be a possibility of another Marriage ......another story about him was he could have done a bigamy also that he was up to no good according to his son Reginald telling his son ........!!!!!!!!!

Now the only query is a child was born 1924 to Edith Daisy and he married again in1923 ? but all is possible , perhaps he popped back to Edith at sometime ..LOL

I think you have him there with that second marriage.

I have visitors so I'll get back soon .....Well done I'll explore tomorrow .

Getting excited now :-D

Marilyn .....

Derek

Derek Report 26 May 2013 22:56

Hello Marilyn....ok......before we get too excited..I have given you accurate information about a certain ALBERT JOHN BUTCHER..and cast iron background about his Somerset Pedigree. In 1911 this person was unmarried and was an Architect's Assistant..This person also had a mother with the maiden name of BUTLER...........

Another FACT is that a certain ALBERT JOHN BUTCHER married a BUTLER..near Bath Somerset in 1923........

Same person?????......unproven.

You have an ALBERT JOHN BUTCHER marrying in Reading Berkshire 1920..who may have been born 1891.

Same person?????? actually unlikely, because, as you say, he had a child in 1923 with the wife he married in Reading............unless she was already pregnant when he left her, and went off back to Bath Somerset and married Bigamously......again..unlikely.......

so........as you say the Marriage certificate for the person you say is YOUR Albert John Butcher..will give his father and his occupation.......

..all this of course depends on who decided we were looking for Albert JOHN Butcher..rather than Albert J Butcher or just plain old Albert Butcher!......
The marriage to Edith Pocock in 1920..is listed as Albert J Butcher......
I await your findings!

Derek.

Hi Derek,

Hope you are keeping well and can help me with an age at burial.

I have from Family Search a William Shipley buried 10 Aug 1834 St Alkmund`s church Derby.

I am hopeing this is my 2x great grandfather, born 30 Jan 1806, baptised 10 Feb 1806, Independent Belper and Heage

Williams wife died 1838 St Peters workhouse Derby, a widow.

1841 has son William (1830) in Osmaston Road workhouse and daughter Sarah(1827) living with her maternal grandfather in Darley Abbey.

So heres hopeing your records show an age for him and he`s mine.

Thank you for any help.

Derek Report 28 May 2013 20:40

Hello Sylvia........nice to hear from you again..........but I don't think I can help you very much

The 1834 death does not give the age of the deceased, and since it is three years before Death Certificates, there are no details registered.

I have found the marriage to Dinah/Diana 01.11.1824..and her death 24.02.1838.

According to what appears to be a reasonably well-researched Tree on Ancestry..I have details for Sarah 1827-1896..and William 1829-1910........who are children of William and Dinah..........BUT they have William Shipley born 1806..died JFM 1862............but I cannot find a death for William Shipley 1862.......

So I'm afraid it's one of those very difficult one's that appear to be done and dusted.before censuses 1841..and before Civil registration 1837

One clue might be to have a look at a Marriage Cert. for William b 1829..and if he married before 1862, and his father is "William Shipley deceased"..then we know the 1862 date is wrong.
EDIT.......William Shipley married Alice Green 1852 Derby.....so that might be a valuable Mariage Certificate to have!! his father should be deceased....if he isn't then his death in 1862 is correct.

Derek.

Sylvia Report 29 May 2013 04:14

Thank you for looking Derek, that William Shipley death in 1862 was in Belper.

I have Dinah/Diana Shipley`s 1838 death cert it says she is a widow and the William Shipley - Alice Green Marriage cert 29 Sept 1853 St Alkmund`s church, unfortunately it only tells me the father was William Shipley, a frame work knitter. It does not say deceased for both William Shipley or Alice`s father Francis Green, I do know Francis Green was buried 24 Mar 1836 Darley Abbey (thanks to both you and Meercat)

I am hoping to be able to find out who the parents of HOWARD Charles WALDRON are. Born Dec 1892 Derbyshire. 1901 census he is living with grandparents Patrick and Elizabeth Waldron.
I know of his marriage and death.
Also a possible relation of his- HENRY Charles Waldron married Catherine Weir in Swansea in 1891 Henry died Dec 1897 Derbyshire but i can find no record of his wife Catherine death?
I can also find nothing about where Florence (their daughter) also born 1891 has vanished too? She was with the same grandparents in 1911 census.
Any leads please?

Derek Report 29 May 2013 14:40

Hello Trouble!!......Before I go any further i would ask you to check your facts, because they conflict with my findings......

I suggest that..ELIZABETH HIBBERD baptised 22.09.1756 daughter of George and Mary at North Wingfield...........

........married JOHN SELBY at North Wingfield 09.09.1777

The marriage entry says that John Selby came from Skegby..which is Notts....

I await your reaction to this before going any further..although i will check out the Skegby it..

Lorraine..you're confusing me a bit...you don't query my findings yet you said that Elizabeth's parents were Charles and Mary..and that John Selby was from Horsley...............now you say that i am right and that you already have all the info...........

I have three female children for a John and Elizabeth Selby at Skegby..Ann, Efsheba and Mary..are these the ones you've got?

I've found Syndonia's marriage 07.02.1811 St Mary's Nottingham hang apparently been born in 1789.......

Derek Report 29 May 2013 21:23

Hello Lorraine...we have established that John Selby of SkegbyNotts..went across to North Wingfield to marry Elizabeth Hibberd..in her own Parish..very common occurrence.......BUT they had no children at North Wingfield..which means that he stuck her on the back of his horse and took her off somewhere else to have his wicked way with her..............so why not back to Skegby, from whence he came..a very common occurrence........just an idea ,you understand, becasue JOHN and ELIZABETH SELBY had the following children at Skegby:-

Efsheba 18.12.1779
Ann 06.04.1783
Mary 22.05.1785..all born at Skegby in the few years after John and Elizabeth married.................which at the very least needs some examination!!...there is no other marriage for John Selby to an Elizabeth..........
