Member Since: March 2009 Posts: 16 Send Message	I have both certificates, Richard Evans married Eugenie Jouval on the 18th June, 1919 at Reading Register office. Her Dad was Theophile Jouval ( manager of dockyard ) deceased. John Richard was born 6th August, 1920 in Reading. I have been in touch with the person who had the codes and names but no other info. Thanks all

	Can anyone check at FMP whether these two people were travelling together? EVANS J? 1922 M 1925 Southampton USA New York EVANG Eugenia 1888 F 1925 Southampton USA New York Long shot, but you never know. My free results seem to say they weren't, but it's always worth checking. There are also all the gazillion other Evans-s who left the UK after 1920 under only initials, or not even that. I would imagine there is a good possibility Eugenie left England and Richard Evans just claimed to be a bachelor when he remarried, since otherwise he would have been stuck with a living wife whose whereabouts was unknown, for the rest of his life. Actually, just a look at the record for Eugenia Evang herself would be nice.

Not sure exactly what that means but I've always assumed that the passenger didn't embark.........of course it could mean something else. If anyone has any other idea's would love to hear them
