Just a bit I found... Address for Michael in 1875 (Witness at Inquest)

Fatal Mining Accident at Egremont
Yesterday (Wednesday) an adjourned inquest was held at the house of Mr. H. L. Ellis, Globe Hotel, Egremont, touching the death of Peter McAvoy, iron ore miner, aged 31 years, who lived in Robert's Lane, in that town, and who came by his death by a fall from the roof of the place in which he was working on the 19th inst. At the opening of the inquest last week, Michael Carroll, Bridge Buildings, Egremont, iron ore miner, said he had known deceased for 17 or 18 years, and he identified the body as that of deceased.

Jane Ann's surname varies Stratton,Strattan, or Stratten,not Strachan.

Wish Bridie would come back and sort some of these out...!!
Looked at the "Ostle" 2nd name ..probaly surname carried through...wish I hadn't...hundreds of them.....!!! Wonder if the Christiana was an "Ostle" before becoming a Stratton...mmmm
