that particular record has this

'Form submitted by a member of the LDS Church.'

this is as opposed to 'from an extracted record' which has been taken from the parish registers.

Submitted records often contain wrong information

No - the marriage certificate will not show his mothers name, you need the birth cert for that, but it will confirm his father's name and occupation at the time. Witnesses can also sometimes be a help
