I now in possesion of the MC fo Nicholas Lacey and Alice Lavinia White

I am just concentrating on Alice

Married 01 May 1915. Alice is 35 a spinster. Occupation a Domnestic Servant lving at 10 Butcher/Bachelor Road Coventry.

Father Henry William White deceased boat maker?

Wittnessess W W Ward and Arthur Lloyd.

The handwriting for Alice seems to match that on the Birth cert I have for Harold her son.

I may be wrong here but I think the writing and signatures on certs are not always the actual originals and that marriage certs at least may be copies made by the registrar/ priest

Hi tempest

I think you are correct it does say row.

You managed to find Alice on the 1911 census with George her age does fit so it looks like this could well be the right Alice?

From the 1881 census.
Henry WHITE Head M Male 23 Wesley, Devon, England Shipwright
Mary A. WHITE Wife M Female 26 Rotherhithe, Surrey, England
Alice WHITE Daur Female 3 Rotherhithe, Surrey, England
Ellen W. A. WHITE Daur Female 2 Rotherhithe, Surrey, England
Matilda WHITE Daur Female 3 m Rotherhithe, Surrey, England

Does this look like it could be the right Alice with her parents.

I googled 10,Butchers Row Coventry then clicked onto images.

It is very strange there is a post card posted April 1915 from a Alice.

Have a look it seemed really strange to me,seeing as we were looking for a Alice.
