Hi, i am looking for ancestors of Charles Quinn b Oct 1877 Leadgate Durham who married Sarah Kelly b 1880 Tow Law County Durham. I believe her mother is Susan Kelly nee ONeil who married Michael Kelly b 1853 Gateshead. Any info on the ONeil/Kelly families would be great ;-)

Have you looked for them on any census.

Their marriage cert should name their fathers.if known

i don't have their marriage certificate but i have their (Charles and Sarah) daughters birth certificate which states their marriage was 17th July 1895 in Beymore County Durham ?? Can't find any record of it ??

so some query where he was born as the one i posted was born and living in Leadgate

so the birth cert you have is Scottish then as English/Welsh ones dont state where the parenst married

Yes Shirley there is a family tree on Ancestry with the same parents as you have found and this tree states that Charles and Sarah had Bartholomew Quinn 18 July 1909 Lanchester,Durham and passed away July 1991 and he married Rose Trussler 1910-1991 and their child is still living so is hidden.

When did he move to Scotland , pre1911 ?

Its odd that his single if she had died it would say widow ?. I wonder where she was ,maybe prison bit of a long shot or had she just left him.
