Hello all,

i am trying to find a birth for a Nellie kippen whom marired arthur miles in 1918 in newhaven. i also cannot locate arthurs birth either his middle initial is J and nellie nothing comes up at all..... have tried all districts etc. Am trying to work back from nellie and arthur parents siblings etc so it may be someone can find them on the census? any help appricated many thanks

just to add nellie and arthur had 3 children that i have information on all born in the brighton area

Do you have their marriage cert with ages plus fathers names?

If you buy the marriage cert. it will give you her father's name and occupation which may help find her in 1911 census. It will also give you an address which may also help with 1911.

no i dont have the marriage cert ive only just found the marriage she is down as nellie but im not so sure if nellie was her birth name as there appears to be no birth at all for a nellie kippen

When and where did Nellie and Arthur die, and how old were they?

You wouldn't find the birth for Nellie if she was Scottish.

Actually several other possible deaths

that looks as though it could be arthurs birth everything is around the same area that i have found and i cannot locate any connections with kippen relations through genes at all

the census above does tie in with catherines census due to dates doesnt it? that also looks like it could be nellies death fits the area

You really need the marrige cert. to find out how old the couple were when they married. Without this info you can't hope to find a definate birth record.
