What is the significance of 1883 ?

Apart from the name difference, there's a big geographical difference..

What makes you think there IS a link?

Have you tried researching the names?

Surely, if the answer is for an exam, the person taking the exam is expected to find the info..............

You need to work backwards from what you know for certain. Do you have your grandparent's names and when they married?

Is this your "Susannah" (Susan) in the 1911 census:-

BREWER, Susan Wife Married 3 years F 25 1886 Lane Blackpool
BREWER, John Son M 2 1909 Lane Blackpool

Address:
9 Elm Avenue Liverpool St Hull

Reference:
RG14PN28641 RG78PN1646 RD521 SD4 ED31 SN125

They were living in Hull but born Blackpool. Susan's husband is not at home on census night. It looks as if he was at sea. This has been written on the census form on the first line where the head of the house's information should be but then crossed out.

KathleenBell

KathleenBell Report 30 Jan 2012 23:18

There is this birth that could be a possible for Susan:-

Name: MORRIS, Susan Churchman D
Registration District: Fylde
County: Lancashire
Year of Registration: 1885
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
Mother's Maiden Name: Not available before 1911 Q3
Volume No: 8E
Page No: 714

Could her second middle initial stand for Drummond perhaps?

I think you would need the marriage certificate for Susan's father's name.
