So it looks like Ada Rebecca may have gone to Oz with a John Earl?

From that Rootschat thread, by one of the contributors:

"I have had another thought about how Ada Rebecca came down under.

Ada's mother Emma died in 1851, and her father George remarried to Sarah WHITE in 1852. George and Sarah had two children, a son George 1853-1854, and a daughter Etty 1854-??, and then George died in 1854. Sarah remarried herself after that.

George's mother Sophia died in 1853. As there is no sign of Ada in the 1861 or 1871 census, but Etty and her mother are there, I suspect that Ada came to NZ with her grandfather John after 1854. John died in NZ in 1861. Ada may have been brought up in NZ by her uncle and aunt John and Rebecca REMINGTON, or in Victoria by her uncle and aunt Henry and Charlotte REMINGTON, and then at some stage she has gone to Tasmania

John and Rebecca's eldest son John went to Launceston about 1870, where he married and not long after moved to Victoria."

It looks like our poster will have seen this.

I Thank you all again.
I have been trying to take it all in.
Yes I did find the death of a George in Tassie.
John Earl did die 40years of age and is buried at Campbell Town in Tassie.
Have found Karl Alfred Carston 40 yrs marying Ada in 1896.
Info says he was born in Sweden to
Caroline Rebecca Carston and Karl Otto Carston.
Would anyone be researching the Carston's from Sweden?
Also found that a Mrs.Earl was a cottage occupier in Avocoa 1894.

I have found where Ada married Karl Alfred Carston at Benham Estate Avoca.
Apparently it was and is today a large estate.
I have been given some info on someone who might be able to help with names of people that worked there.
If it is fruitful I will post here.
Karl father was Karl Otto Carston - mother Caroline Rebecca Carston
