Looking for the father of my g. grandfather George Riley. George was born 1809/1811 and married Ann Sisson. I have hit a brick wall with this line and as it is my maiden name I feel I'm letting my Riley ancestors down so is there someone out there who can help me please. I will be eternally grateful .
Thanks
Vera

Vera has already been advised there are replies Cynthia :-)
Vera - it is pointless sharing your tree with me - as I have told you, we have no connection whatsoever, so can you return with some feedback on what has been found - you can also post any further queries - use the reply box as I have done

I see our innocuous postings have been restored
I sent this message to Vera
From: AnnCardiff
10:21 AM
why on earth did you not return to your posting and give some feedback - to just mark it as "answered" is not too polite is it? We are all just fellow members of this site who enjoy helping others - to add to this three of us have had our postings reported to GR - for what reason we are not sure - do you know why, did you report them?
if you don't return to the posting with some explanation you can be sure that it is unlikely fellow members will help you in the future
I don't want to appear "nasty" as we're not like that, particularly on the research boards
This is her response
From: Vera Riley

Sorry if I upset you but as I said I am new to this game so maybe I got it wrong. Surely we are all here to help each other and we all need to start to learn somewhere, but if you feel like you don't want to contact me again just let me know Vera
and my response
no problem at all Vera - do not wish to fall out with anyone, but I did ask you repeatedly to return with some feedback
