Hi

Thank you so much everyone who has given me plenty to go on. I really appreciate your assistance and time.

Sorry I haven't replied before but I can only access all this in the office as my home computer is suffering from exhaustion.

Thank you, all of you for being so kind.

Kind regards

Dee

Hi Gins,
I've only just seen your post from 12/6 asking me why I pm'd the info.

I was replying to a PM that I received from the poster and realised that the info that I found, also belonged on the thread.

Apologies as I can see how it came across as a bit off.!
Xxx

Hi

Am I being cheeky here, after all the work that has been done on my behalf?
I cannot find Elizabeth Thomson (Lizzie) in 1911 census.

Can anyone spot her please?

Kind regards
Dee

No apology needed, I just wondered if the info you PM'd was something about a living relative and I was missing something

:-)

Thank you once again, really appreciate the help. I'm trying to understand how to work the website as I think I've been doing it wrong.

Sadly still no Elizabeth on 1911, she married the following year.

All the relatives are long gone Gins.

Kind regards

Dee

Dee,
I can't identify Elizabeth/Lizzie on any 1911 census return either.

There is a public tree on Ancestry
The tree owner appears to be a descendant of the Kirker family (from a brother of Anna Kirker)
There are many documents attached incliding the marriage of Anna Kirker and Solomon Thompson who married in Scarva Presbyterian Church, Banbridge on 2 Jul 1888
Anna's parents: Alexander Kirker and Eliza Matier
Solomon's parents: Samuel Thompson

Sadly, the tree does not hold any additional info on Elizabeth M Thompson and David Kelly other than what you already know.

I have also searched with every permutation of Christian and Surnames plus Initials only...she has to be somewhere !!
I don't have access to the UK Census to check if she was over there....

The FS pilot site was replaced by their currant site - the British stuff is at:
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/list#page=1®ion=UNITED_KINGDOM_IRELAND

The BMD index there only covers NI up to partition - upon partition, a copy of all NI BMDs was made and sent to Belfast, so NI BMDs up to 1922 can be bought from both Irelands, but only thru GRONI post 1922. BMDs from both Irelands can be bought in a cheaper form as uncerrtified images, as older ones can in Scotland These are good for genealogical purposes, but not for legal purposes (like getting a passport).

Thank you once again for your help and time. I feel guilty allowing everyone to run around after me, but I must say I am quite enjoying it. Seriously, thank you as I am not familiar with researching NI.

Kind regards

Hi
For everyone who reads this and has helped me, have you tried this website for 19th Century news? It covers Belfast.

This is how my IT chap saved it so I don't have a shorter version, sorry!

Just copy and paste, it will work. You will need a current library card to use it though.
