Find Ancestors

hi everyone asking for another set of eyes to look please :-)

im looking to find Allin family from devon on 1891 c and cant see them anywhere ..its the daughter Emily whom im looking for who will be c9yrs old

this is what I have so far :-
1861 newton village Devon emilys parents Thomas and Thereza and siblings john 6 William 4

1871 Geneva place Devon parents Thomas and Thirza siblings Samuel j 16 ( this I think is the john above but haven't confirmed yet) William 14 ,Thomas 3

1881 family now living 9 sunderland road Sunderland. parents Thomas and Thirza and Thomas 13 ** I have Emily being born around this year **

1891 cant find the family anywhere !! Emily or her parents

1901 Emily is married and living number 3 carrol st sunderland with first husband George burn and children ..her mother thirza is down as living number 10 carrol st widow

1908 Emily re married George oldfield as first husband George burn died 1906

1911 Emily is living 6 eden st sunderland with George their children and her mother Thirza is with them

hope the above make sense and someone can locate Emily or her parents :-)

Emily should really be on the 1871 census as according to the 1939 register her birthday was 11th March 1871 and census date was 2nd April. This is the 1939 entry:-

I think that might well be Emily using her middle name - she is Emily Alice born 1871.

That record is not showing up on Findmypast.

thanks kath for her d.o.b. didn't have it ..

so yeah she should have been with family in 1871 and 1881 but isn't and not as if she could have change name as its all males :-/

so its 3 census she is now missing !!

Dea has already posted the 1881 and 1891 census. I think Emily is using her middle name of Alice.

as that's what her brother did I think im sure john age 6 in 1861 became Samuel j age 16 in 1871

Still can't find her on the 1871 census. Perhaps when the enumerator filled out the forms they just forgot to mention the baby as she was only a few weeks old???

Did you notice from the 1911 census that Emily Alice and her second husband had had one child who had died by the time of the 1911 census?

I found the 1891 on Ancestry but couldn't find it on FMP.

I don't know about records through GR site as I never use them but I think it uses info from FMP ?

I can't check further on FMP at the moment as the site is 'having a wobbly' but you might like to try putting in the info below through GR and see if it brings the info up for you on here?

Genes really isn't the best place for research. It's great for the community boards like this one to get help but you would be better spending your money with a subscription to either Findmypast or Ancestry for looking up census, BMD's etc.

I have only ever had a basic subscription to Genes and I think a lot of other members are the same.

I tried an adress search and got up the ALLU name and then the site got itself into a tizzy and I couldn't get the rest up to check.

That name 'might' work on here then?
