No problem Kucinta- it was a good find, and great that the dates tie in.

Yes, it really does tie in John Bertee/Bertie Green with John B Walker.

I do wonder if the father was a builder surnamed Walker....

Thank you again for the extra information AustinQ and Kucinta.
I've spoken to my dad and he really doesn't know when his grandmother died, if his grandfather remarried and he has know idea about any other half siblings besides Christine!
He is overwhelmed by all the information, as am I! I'm currently writing an email to him so he can understand it better.
It would be nice to know if John 'Green'/Walker the builder was his father, again I should get marriage certificates and possibly a birth certificate.

AustinQ, may I ask how you found out that there may be other siblings for my father?

Thank you , Sara

I think Catherine Jane Green made up the fathers name as she was unmarried at the time of the baptism.
Why other than marrying a man by the name of Green give her name as Green which was her maiden name and the name she married John Edwin Flood in.

Apologies Sara- I think you're correct about Christine being the only child. Sorry if it caused any upset.

When looking at the indexes I was confusing Brentford and Brentwood.
-------------------------------------

Just wanted to add that Catherine Jane Green had a brother George Adam Green born in 1864. He's only listed with Catherine in 1871. In 1881 he's with relations of his Mum- they are builders:

1881 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription

Emma Rathbone Wife Married Female 22 1859 - Hackney, Middlesex,

George Green Visitor Single Male 17 1864 Labourer Hackney, Middlesex,

Mary, it's a shame we'll never know but that's life!

Austin, no upset was caused at all... Infact I think my dad was a little disappointed when I told him there were no more siblings!
Thank you again for all the detective work you did for us, we really appreciate it :)
