Hi all,
I have been trying to find the parents and birth details of the following couple. I have been stuck ion this for some time.
https://www.genesreunited.co.uk/record?recordid=bmd%2fm%2f1916%2f1%2faz%2f000097%2f007
I have ordered a marriage cert. Would love to find a little more info before this arrives.

England & Wales marriages 1837-2008 First Name Hilda G Last Name Bonner Gender Female Year 1916 Spouse Brooks Image Quarter 1 Country England County Surrey District Farnham District Number Registry Number Volume 2A Page 315
For future reference many GR members don't have access to records as we don't pay for full membership. I happen to have credits available for free that come with my annual cheap renewal.
Use https://www.freebmd.org.uk - free to search and then copy and paste the info into your post.
You still need certificates to prove each generation though.

Again from freebmd, this would look to be her birth (only Hilda G Bonner coming up from 1840 onwards)
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page Births Jun 1894 (>99%)
Bonner Hilda Grace Alton 2c 162
If you then use another free site it will give Mother's maiden name from the start of registration in 1837 through to 1918 (100 year privacy otherwise). you have to register but searching is free.

Daughter Hilda GE has been wrongly transcribed from the original, where she is shown as single. She must have died for her to be an open record.
The 2 closed records will be for other children of the couple - deaths up to 1990 when Register stopped being used are not showing in deaths, so they are still closed records. You can find their names on freebmd The other birth in St Ives will belong to a couple Brooks/Bonner who married in St Ives 1938 I expect
