Hi Pam, Ed, and now David,

No computor not down, have been keeping up with the thread, just havn`t been adding to it.........been busy with my family history stuff, the breakthrough i told you about a couple of weeks ago from the GR contact has now escalated, our gr gr gr gr grandparents were siblings born 1769 and 1776 respectively, and we now think we`ve found 9 other siblings and have hopefully now found their grandparents, a lot of cross checking and emails flying back from here to OZ, { why can`t i ever find distant relatives who live in the same country, let alone the same continent,!!! I have others in OZ and one in canada as well., also went up to London yesterday to Madam Tussauds, my first visit since I was a child, had a good day, and a cuddle and photo with Robbie Williams and Samule L Jackson was the icing on the cake.!! Have any of you been?, the David Beckham ones are awful, don`t look like himat all, and in the Sportszone area he`s wearing an A C Milan kit {very presumptious}.......... was along day, but very enjoyable...

Back to the films love ALL the Clint eastwood spaghetti westerns, was a huge fan of his in the 70s and 80s... High Plains Drifter my favourite, it was Clint eastwood that started up my love for unshaven men!!! OH used to be clean shaven when I met him..... not for long though!!

Also love Ecape from Acatraz and the Dirty Harry films, and the ones with the orangutang Clyde were very funny in their day.......

Hav`nt watched any new films on tv lately, but have seen that quite a few that have been banded around on here have been on..... Runaway Jury is on sky movies this week ,so will try and catch that one.

Hi Nicky, glad tou've been keeping a check on us all.

Haven't been to the old wax works since I was a kid! My daughter went with her boyfriend a couple of years back and had photos with Richard Branson, Al Fayed and Hitler of all people! It's come a long way since my last visit.

That's good you've made a breakthrough with GR and family history.

My husband looks a bit like Clint Eastwood so people say, although Clint is 85 years old isn't he!!! Hubby is 54, and dark eyed of course! But build wise and facially etc. he is very much like him I have to agree. When our kids were younger their friends used to say , your dad looks like Clint Eastwood! (wish we had his money!)

Edit: Bit late on here tonight, we actually went out for a meal and a drink, well I didn't drink as I drove, but you can tell it's getting a bit milder we went out instead of a take away.

The Omen has been mentioned as we hit the 666 mark and Ed noticed it and David mentioned Gregory Peck...very scary film. The music alone and the close up shots of peoples eyes and the religious stuff always puts the wind up me!!

So sad that Lee Remick died young. Very beautiful actress.

Flippy Neck as I used to say, I haven't been there for years; I think the last time I went they still had "The Death of Nelson" on display (seriously).

I'm suprised they didn't have David Beckham in a sarong or something (wonder how long it will bebefore they make a film about him ...)

Yeah Clint Eastwood in "Every Which Way But Loose" and "Any Which Way You Can" - loved the gang of bikers; especially when they got tarred, lost all their hair and were going around in wigs.

I see clint eastwood has a new film out Gran Torino....i must admit the trailer on TV dosn`t make me want to go and see it.

Watched Shooter on sky movies last night......... it was quite good, starred Mark Wahlberg {aaahhh!} and Danny Glover, about an ex marine sharp shooter, set up by the american Goverment/FBI in an attempted assasination on the President, was quite violent and Wahlberg was a bit of a Rambo charecter, but worth a watch if you have a couple of hours free. I`ve never yet seen a bad Mark Wahlberg film {but then maybe i`m biased} The Perfect Storm, Four Brothers, Boogie Nights, The Departed to name but a few...... and yes Pam he does get his toned torso on display so if you can ignore the violence, as I know you don`t like violent films, its worth watching.

I see the Bourne Identity on tonight, on ITV, thats very good as well .

Hi everyone, my hubby has always fancied Beverly D'Angelo, think she's in one of those Clint films with the monkey, (cant spell urangutang!!) also Lampoons Vacations films with Chevy Chase and the gang. Wasn't sure how old Clint Eastwood was Ed, but he's a Gemini like Nicky and myself...seems a bit quiet for a Gemini doesn't he!

Mark Wahlberg, think I know who you mean Nicky..."Oh young man!" James Purefoy really does it for me though...it's those dark eyes and he's got a really nice body too! He lived with the Cold Feet actress Fay Ripley for about 11 years apaprantly. (She's no oil painting to quote my hubby!)

Not seen that Burt Lancaster film David, but thanks for the recomendation.

Edit: Doesn't time fly especially as we get older...seeing Ray Parker Junior singing the 118 advert to his single for the film Ghostbusters, blimey I remember that coming out and our son Steve running around the playground with his mates and "Sliming", people after one of the ficticious characters in the film!! Also Marshmello Man, which scared him a bit! Another of his faviurites were Dogtanion, Inspector Gadget, Duckula, and his all time favourite hero Postman Pat.

Well David, if Clints new film made that much money in its 1st weekend it MUST be worth seeing.......... just the TV trailer leaves me a bit cold.... funny that because trailers are supposed to make you WANT to see the film........

Didn`t know your James lived with Fay Ripley Pam....... I loved Cold Feet, and all the stars have done pretty well since in other things.. My favourite is probably James Nesbitt who has done really well, loved him in Murphys Law on the BBC, did any of you watch it? Must be time for another series as it hasn`t been on for a while.

Hi Nicky, no we didn't watch Murphy's Law, expect it clashed with something else at the same time. James Nesbitt was in one of my dad's favourites in 'Hear my Song,' a film with Ned Beatty, Adrian Dunbar , Tara Fitzgerald and Shirley Anne Field. It was based on the biography of Josef Locke, the Irish singer from way back.

Yes, every time I see Fay Ripley, I think you lucky sod! ha ha!

I actually have a big crush on Kevin O'Sullivan, the Sunday Mirror's reality TV colummist...he used to often be on Richard and Judy. Also Tom Bradby, the ITV political reporter. ☺

Never heard of Hear my song Pam............though James nesbitt is such an excellent actor I would imagine its very good.......... did you see the Sunday bloody sunday he did? can`t remember wether it was actually a film or a TV drama, but he was excellent.....does mean and moody very well!!!!
