Sorry, manners! Good evening all.

Anybody else have trouble when writing, pulling themselves back into the present?

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 4 Feb 2010 22:09

Sometimes Ann. I get totally 'in the zone' so to speak, where the world could blow up around me and I wouldn't notice.

It's a great feeling isn't it?

Teresa, most of the time it is but I have been in a bit of a dark place the last 2 evenings with my piece and found it really hard to come back to earth. got through that now so OK.
Mau, yes I did have those 2 pieces but Maggie was going to send her pieces for this weekend out early as she is going away.

TeresaW Report 4 Feb 2010 22:13

I got those, but Maggie wanted to send this week's early as she's hoping to get away this weekend, but it doesn't look like she's sent them yet.

I've done that too Ann, but you just have to write yourself out of it.

My 'piece' has been ready for days but I keep on tweaking it and changing a word. It has quietened down a bit hasn't it, maybe we should have our stuff sent out TWICE a week? Just to keep us at it? Or not., What do you think? BC XX

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 5 Feb 2010 08:22

BC, I have finished mine and the weekly project and gone on to the next chapter of my main one, but must admit I would prefer to be a bit more under pressure, more 'fun' that way and, as you say so easy to go off the boil.

ButtercupFields

ButtercupFields Report 5 Feb 2010 08:28

Morning Ann. Yes I enjoy a bit of pressure but some folks are working etc and it may put THEM under undue pressure! Anyway it would be nice to get everyones views. XX

Difficult to find a middle route isn't it?

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 5 Feb 2010 10:15

800th post haha

That's ok, if you want to send out twice weekly, how about Sundays and Thursdays?

I only suggested once a week because we were getting snowed under, and we were spending all our time replying rather than writing

But again, none of us are under any obligation to send on both days. We all write at different pace, so it really needs to be a flexible as possible.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 5 Feb 2010 10:27

that would be fine with me, twice weekly but no obligation.

How about if a weekly 'task'/project was set on Sunday for Thursday then the weekend for 'free' writing/own projects?
Would that work?

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 5 Feb 2010 10:48

I'd say set the project on Sunday, which can then be sent EITHER on thursday or Sunday, at our own choosing. As said, some may prefer to send once a week anyway, or might be working and not be able to work on it until the weekend or whatever. and free writing or own projects can be sent on either or both of those two days too.

But I'll leave it to what everyone else thinks...we're all in this together...
