Hi everyone, sorry I still haven't sent critiques of all your hard work, to be honest I still haven't managed to find any quality time to read them and I have 31 pieces in my writing group file to attend to!! As for writing something of my own, although I really enjoy it, I am not not finding time to do this right now due to family and work commitments. As a matter of fact I am thinking of giving up one of my part time jobs before anything else slips.

So, as I keep having to apologise, I think I need to take a break for now. I Will reply to all your pieces as soon as I can but I won't be writing at all now until September, at the start of the autumn school term. If any of you wish to keep sending me pieces of work I will be really happy to receive them, on the understanding that I may not be able to reply immediately.

So have a lovely summer, all of you, and I'll be popping in on the thread now and then if that's ok.

Fine by me Helen, you can only do so much. At least we know what you are doing so thank you for that. I will continue to send you mine to save taking you off my e mail group, you don't have to plow through them though.

I have found, in the short while I have been a part of the group, that it is making me think really hard about what I write, and about what others are writing.

I have read some work, late at night, intending to get back to critique it.... and then forgetting.... it is only later that I remember, but I enjoy reading everyone's work.

Most of all, I am beginning to think hard about my work... the last set piece sounded a doddle, lol as there was so much in the papers... but my inspiration has come from a very strange angle/perspective.... and I decided to treat it just as though I was writing a real novel, and research it properly.

So it will be late... and although not *the novel* it is being used by me as a training ground.

I will be devastated if the group folds up, but I do feel that, after begging, I could still send my work out..... and someone will kindly critique it for me! lol

Love

Daff xxxx

I don't think it will fold Daff, apologies to everyone for being on a downer yesterday, I think I need a holiday Lol!!!!

But on the subject of long pieces. Although I will have my netbook with me I will be travelling on Sunday. I would like to send out the next chapter of the untitled piece (must really find a title for it too) before I go tomorrow if possible. If you feel that you would rather not receive the next chapter would you please put it on here so I don't overburden anyone.

Ann and everyone, I love reading your stories and poems. Although ( in the past) I may only have sent a short reply back, you can all be sure I have read at depth and thought hard about each piece. And that is what I think we all deserve because I know how much work goes into producing and polishing even the shortest effort. So because I know I can't do this right now I am being honest about it!

I don't think the group will fold: I think those that can will continue regularly submitting, and I look forward to it, and those of us with limited time will do the best we can.

I have to say, I do find I can write a piece about almost any subject in quite a short time, for example my poem a while back about pony, ice, lake etc, which was a real surprise to me! But I do want to be sincere in my replies to all us hardworkers.

Here's to the future!

PS Ann, you know I love your long pieces!

I am bringing this back from the doldrums because, well just because I don't like to see it underneath all those threads and I thought it might feel a bit neglected. So, although I have nothing to contribute at the moment, I thought I should give it a bit of tlc:)) BC XX
