Mau

ILike the idea of writing a piece at a time..I am going to try that. Strangely enouogh I am sittin in the very building where I first learnt that I had a baby sister. My mother was very ill during the pregnancy and I was sent to live in a convent near hastings called Sandrock Hall. I was here for about 6 months. It was my god father who came to seeme and told me that I had a sister.
Almost 60 years later I find myself here...it feels a little odd, and I wonder why I was brought here or is it sheer co-incidence

Ok just an option for this week if needed,

"The Letter"....received or sent, wanted or unwanted, lost in transit which might have made a difference, hidden, discarded.

or, a special place...in the world, in your mind, in your heart....real or imagined.

Poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction as per usual :)

Thanks for the suggestions Rose, hope nobody minds but I will probably opt out of that one to concentrate on my story which was neglected while I was away. We go away again on Friday and I don't think there is internet access where we are staying, and even if there is I will be reliant on using OH's laptop as mine is still 'on holiday' at Madrid airport. (don't ask!)

Rambling Report 1 Jun 2010 11:54

oh Ann! I hope you get the laptop back ok, and that what was on it is not too important, to be able to do without for a bit.

Hope you enjoy your next bit of 'gallivanting' lol, looking forward to the next part of your story :))

Hopefully it is organised for the laptop to be picked up for me (luckily whoever found it at security was honest) and I will get it when we return to Tenerife in September. Thank goodness for friends who can speak Spanish. Nothing sensitive on there or needed, I only use it when away as I use a desk top at home and I had downloaded everything I did while there onto a flash drive, carried separately.
Going to Dorset this time so no flights involved.

AnninGlos Report 3 Jun 2010 21:13

Mau, I am not sure if I got it or not, it may be that it was on the missing laptop and I had intended to reply once I got home, I know there were a few e mails I had not replied to.

Afternoon ladies:) First of all, my apologies for not reading any of your writing yet. I seem to be caught up with 'stuff' !

I have written a small piece about a visit to Dublin (very short so no worries) lol and promise I shall catch up soon.

Weather was lovely today once the sea fret cleared. yesterday afternoon and eveninf was very wet but that is the only rain really thatw e have had since we got here. We were in Lyme Regis and it was sunny and warm most of the time, quite windy though on the Cob.

Rambling Report 8 Jun 2010 21:33

Glad it's cleared up a bit for you Ann , SpringWatch was on earlier and I noticed it was Simon in Dorset who said it had poured yesterday, looked very nice where he was. My brother likes Lyme regis , they have been down there a few times.
