Yes it is patronising Julia., and its not said with any amount of honesty. Its said with spite & unkindness, which I'm not surprised at witnessing your level of aggression towards me & others on this thread.

errm Julia, if you'd told me to take a chill pill or questioned my intelligence, I would find that patronising and rude.

perhaps we all started on the wrong foot and we should all look at what we've actually written and how it can be read by others ...perhaps peace can reign on GR for at least 1 day of 2011 at least? lol

Julia, im not being nasty but sometimes your posts do come across as being agressive and opinionated, maybe not intentional but if you re-read some of your remarks, and they had been said to you, you would see it differently.

Yes, SRS, perhaps not the best couple of words to use. But I have run out of what to say anymore, and I do know Mildred is a highly intelligent person, and I was not then, nor now, trying to be patronising. I meant it in all sincerity.
I feel I was misread, and therefore midunderstood.
I put up a post last night about 6.00 when the freebie offer came into being. This merely stated that any problems because of this, and they were beginning to maifest themselves, I hoped they rectified by this morning. Many added to this thread, mentioning their dismay at last nights events, and making remarks against GR. This was removed by GR this morning. I did not add in any way to that thread.
I did put up this one this morning, stating what I did in the title. In no way have I participated in either last night's events, or making any remarks about GR.
How this can be taken the wrong way, by any one is beyond me. I just suggested that this thread had perhaps not been read properly

Jack in a Box, I do not have a problem. I said at the beginning of this thread to that effect. What I did say was that the original thread, where others did have a problem, was removed because they aired their views.

Yes, Jack in a box, I agree with you, their good intentions did go abit awry. But that was not what my original thread was about, and no one seems to be able to believe me. Possibly because GR removed it. I could not have commented on what did or did not happen last night because not only did I not participate in it, I turned my computer off because as soon as 6.00 came, so did my computer problems.

I agree with your comments there Barry, many good member's (many of them excellent researchers who did so much for other members on these boards by the way of look ups etc etc) have now parted company with GR for various reasons (some gone because of certain "petty" individuals out for blood so to speak!).

Shame really because many of them are now "elsewhere" doing their good deeds and many more are following them on from here, such a loss to GR, in my own opinion of course.

Threads are barely moving on all the boards. The site has definately gone downhill in the last few months. I just pop in now and then when work permits me to but I shan't be renewing.
