As usual Amy, I expected you to rear your head. Trawing the boards again for something to get your teeth into.???

Jack in a Box, Please read my original post. We are all entitled to our opinion. I said mine. End of. That was it, just my opinion of why my thread went.

I'd like to add ( and I'm going for lunch so can't respond if someone replies) that it was still nice nice to see that some managed to get more records than I did in the two hours, and unfortunate for those who just wanted to add to the boards in general that it took so much time and effort to 'get through' ( 20 minutes for me to reply so I do understand the frustration).

Anyway, it's done now so Happy New Year to you all, and a big "thankyou" to all those who did look ups at their own expense throughout last year...and that has to include a number who are no longer on site and did an absolutely sterling job when it mattered :)

The sixth word in your post Amy, I find it disgusting and feel that no lady would use it.

Yes Julia we are all entitled to our opinion, but if a thread was whooshed by GR because of its contents, all this has done is drag it up again.

The word just offends you chris?

Jack in a Box. Have it your way. I will remember when I see this happen to someone else, refering to something that has happened. No offence was meant to you, nor is now, or to any other person.

Nargh, send her the chillie Pricles Babes.

No offence taken Julia:)))

BTW its JackInTheBox, not Jack in a box, unless you intend putting me in one lol :))))

Julia Report 1 Jan 2011 15:23

Sorry JackInThe Box, that was not intentional I can assure you. Just a typing mistake.
Please pass on to Ron, that I am doing well with the 'Bird Of Paradise' plants. Many Thanks to him

Amy I thought when I saw I had posted same time as your SECOND post you would belittle yourself with such a reply. I also notice you did not disagree with me that no lady would use such a word.

"The sixth word in your post Amy, I find it disgusting and feel that no lady would use it"

______

Chris, I use that word,cr*p (altered to protect your eyes) so do a few of my friends (including well mannered teachers in the staff room)

I can assure you we are ladies (sometimes).but long gone are the ladies made famous from little Britain (I am a genteel delicate Lady type)

I know Amys posts annoy, but its a bit over the top to snipe about what in all honesty is a very mild curse.

I said I do not like it - if you wish to use it that is your choice. However, being well educated does not necessarily mean well mannered.

Hello Ice Ice, perhaps someone Did ask for it's removal. All I know was that people where remarking about how disappointed they were with last night's effort by GR. My remark, at the onset, was about my computer problems.

I'm back home on a fleeting visit (boiler packed up and needs repair), so thought I would pop in to wish you a 'Happy New Year' and everyone else I've spoken with too.

Mildred is a smart cookie (sorry Mildred ;-)
The free bee offer overloaded the site which had a knock on effect on chat and general .. But this site is about geneaology .. not chat
I didn't see it cos I must admit to using Ancestry and other sites for my research but my impression of GR is it is here primarily for people to research their family tree .. chat and general are just an extra..
