I've just caught up. I had Cilla on the recording box!

I love it!

I've always been a big fan of Sheridan Smith. Love her in the role!
However, personally, I would prefer to hear Cilla's voice singing.

And I also love Aneurin Barnard.
Not being Liverpudlian, his accent as Bobby doesn't bother me. It took me a while to get used to the bleached blonde hair though..or is it a wig? :-D
Who remembers him as Richard 111 in The White Queen?

suppose they all go that way at some point. :-)

She certainly wore the trousers, felt sorry for Bobby :-S

When she sang Alfie......I sang it full blast just loved it <3

I went on u tube and listened to Cher sing it Mersey

and though I like cilia Chers versions better :-D :-D :-D

Think Sheridan is sure to get a tv. award for her portrayal, but I thought the casting of the Beatles was poor :-(

I watched part 3 from the recording box this morning, but I got quite upset with Cilla today, over how she treated Bobby!

I've just listened to both Cher and Cilla's versions of Alfie, and in my opinion, Cilla's is far superior. Full of emotion and pulls at the heart strings.
