Cilla - what do I say? Gave enormous pleasure to generations of people. 1963 my 3yr old son fell in love and I could not understand him yesterday when he rang - devastated as are both my husband and I.

Is as much a part of Liverpool as the Liver Birds - indeed I would go so far as to say that she is the third Liver bird. <3 <3

The Post mortem has failed to find a reason for her death
I do hope they have some answers soon

it has been confirmed ..............

she died of a stroke after falling and hitting her head.

I watched her funeral today on BBC News Channel............. so very moving ........ two of her sons gave readings, that must have been so hard for them ............ Cliff Richard sang live 'Faithful One' .... and her friends Jimmy Tarbuck and Paul O'Grady spoke of their remembrances of her ...... they knew her as the women she was and raised laughter from the congregation. :-)

Rest in Repose Cilla ............ as 'Bishop Tom' said in your funeral service today. <3

Me too Mersey......... beautiful service, with love, laughter and sadness for a woman that was an absolute icon in my youth.

I was never a great fan of Cilla , I admit, but her records bring back to me so many memories from my youth....... I mourn her passing ..... R.I.P Cilla

I was never a big fan of hers either Joeva, but she was a great part of my youth too and her songs evoke so many good memories - my OH always called her Killer Black :-D :-D
