Shirley, you got your wish to bring your husband home from hospital and have given him lots and lots of TLC. Now you and your family have made the right decision to allow him to be cared for in the hospice.

You can rest assured that he will be well looked after 24x7 and now you can be with him and not have to worry about practical matters. Enjoy this very special time you have together and give yourself a pat on the back for your time of caring for him at home. My thoughts and prayers are for you both today, sending a ((hug)) to you xxx

I have just had a message from Shirley.

Having spent the day with her husband, she came home to rest and received a telephone call to tell her he had died.

My deepest sympathy, Shirley and family, you couldn't have done more to care for your husband and he knew he was loved to the end. May he rest in peace now, he was brave to the end.

I wonder if your grandaughter got away on holiday before your husband passed away? Must be difficult for her if she is miles away, hearing the sad news.

Take care of yourself

I did add to Sharron's thread but wanted to add my condolences on here . Your much loved husband is now at peace Shirley. I hope that you are ok yourself. You are probably a bit in shock at how suddenly it happened but the consolation is that he is not suffering any more. We are here when you are ready to come back. Take care of yourself. <3 <3 <3
