My brother once had a move, where the buyer tried to reduce the price on the last day, my bro instructed the estate agent, that if the sale didn't go ahead by midday, he was to put the house back on the market at a considerably higher price. The sale went ahead as agreed!! so his bluff paid off.

Thank you all for your good wishes!! I cannot believe that something like this can bring me down so much!!I suppose the pressures and stress of house selling and moving puts you on a low, so that as soon as something like this happens youre swallowed up by emotions!! I hope we know something soon!! Im not sleeping and now feel exhausted!! some will probably say dont be silly!! maybe theyre right !! but this uncertaincey is no good!! No Val, I don't think anybody would accuse you of being silly. They shouldn't!! Sending you (((((HUGS))))), you're going through one of the 3 most stressful things in life at the moment. I don't envy you at all, and sincerely hope that things work out. x

Hello everyone We hope to know something tomorrow!! our agent asked the solicitors of both parties to come up with dates by tomorrow!! They will then decide on one of the dates (hopefully they will suggest one the same) They will then contact us to let us know which one (if any) and arrange for exchange of contracts!! Can I please ask for possitive thoughts for tomorrow!!! We just have to hope the lady doesnt change her mind again!!!!!! My fingers and toes are crossed!! its not easy! (this could be a painful night!!) hehe thank you all for your kind wishes Val:~)

Val (((((((((((((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))))) Moving house is stressful, buying a new house is stressful and selling an old one is stressful. It's all the being in limbo that is so ghastly. Once you are settled in your new home it will be great. But I do sympathise. When we bought our first house we were very naive. Saw the house in May, finally moved in in October - the people we were buying off were moving into an empty house, but it belonged to the local health authority so every stage needed umpteen signatures, and their solicitor blamed our solicitor and our solicitor (when he wasn't playing golf) blamed their solicitor. Second time round, husband was on the phone to the solicitor every other day hassling him. I let him get on with it, and we cleverly rented our old house out for a year so that we only dealt with the sale of new and old separately, rather than trying to co-ordinate both. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR POSITIVE THOUGHTS!!! They worked!! we have a final moving date!! we will be moving on September 2!! so not too long to wait now!!
