Hi Deb, I click on titles that interest me no matter who started the thread. However, I *do* always click on the threads of people I know. Any thread by CB is likely to be interesting. I never click on a sports related thread no matter who posts it! Gwynne

Jane Report 24 Jun 2005 08:22

If I see something I like I read the thread and add if I have something to say. I must say I tend not to bother when it's a long thread and lots of people have already put replies. Mostly because someone has already answered what i would have done. I don't 'know' anyone on here. Only from here if that makes sense. Jane

I add on a lot of threads that interest me, I have only actually met one person off this board, and she doesnt post lots of threads. Davex

I read all threads but I feel that I don't know people well enough to respond to some more personal threads. It would be like interupting a conversation. I also feel awkward giving sympathy or advice to someone who I don't 'know'. It would be like a stranger in the street coming up to you and saying 'You know, I think you ought to dump your boyfriend'. What do THEY know about you? May be I should intrude more and then I would get to know people better. Claire xx

agree with HRH, if someone I know has posted a thread then chances are I will have a glance at it, and post a reply if I have an opinion or just want to say something. But if the topic heading is something of interest to me then it doesn't really matter who has posted it.

To the people I don't 'know' thank you for adding to the thread and 'hello' to you all. To the people that I already 'know' hello to you too. I have found that when I start a thread, I instantly kill it. Now, is the problem the time difference, or is it me? I can not add 'local' topics, as you would not know what I was talking about. I tend to stick to Universal subjects. I added a thread a few days ago, regarding the 'Mars Spectacular' happening in August. I think less than a handful responded. A boring subject maybe? Maybe I'm boring! Deb The one in a different time zone.

hi deb, i'll add to your thread. i like to add to a thread when there is something interesting to reply about don't feel that it's the favourites that get the replys. lol, lynn

Hi Deb I don't always look who has added a thread, I just look for interesting headings, or ones that I am curious as to what they are about. I just wanted to say though, because a lot of people haven't added it doesn't neccessarily mean that they haven't seen and appreciated it. I am often guilty of this. Like your Mars thread, I read it and what you said was interesting but because I didn't have anything useful (or funny) to say, I didn't comment. Sorry. Chrissie

Deb, I think I am more inclined to answer threads of people I 'know' or, if I see someone is getting no replies, I always add just to make them feel good! But, if I am really interested in a thread, I will answer anybodys! (think I added to yours on Mars?) XX BC

No, I add to any of them when I can, but time runs away so cannot add to all of them. No favouritism at all. :-) Joy
