lyn our holidays are so much different to yours
we have easter weekend off then april the 4th we have our 2 weeks off then

corrie street has brought back horrible memories
my daughter karen fell down the stairs 13 years ago
at a friends house , she cracked her head on a stone step at the bottom , she went into a coma ,
they operated and took a blood clot of her brain ,
she was in intensive care and on a life support machine . when they decided to take it off i think i took every breath for her , she survived ,
it took about 3 yrs for her to get where she more or less where she is today .
she is fine people who didnt know her before
dont even think she had an accident .
she does have a bit of a different personality
and worries and cries easily . i know she is different
but who cares she is alive and i am getting used to her . sometimes herself shines through .
sorry to rant on but its brought that awful day back

Sorry you have been upset tonight, as you say you count your blessings your lovely daughter is here with you today to love with all your heart.

Your not ranting at all, just being the loving caring Mam you are. We, as friends are here for you.

Rose: So often fiction mirrors true life and someone somewhere will be affected. I am so sorry that you have had to revisit what must have been an horrendous time for you. You most certainly didn't rant, it is good to realise that these things do go on and to people we care about. Thankfully your daughter is on the mend, every day is truyly a blessing as you have said. You have your daughter safe, well and most importantly ALIVE. I take my hat off to yours and her courage to fight on.

I know whenever I hear of someone young or old losing their life to breast cancer, I have a flash back to the day I was diagnosed. You tend to 'shelve' these feelings but occasionally something brings them forward, that's what gives us the strength to cope. Caron Keating was one of the worst for me, but yet again I now shelve that til the next time it raises its ugly head!

Hoping all are safe and well, enjoying your shopping Jacky, I've finished half of the housework I wanted to get done but need a break for a late lunch and to pop on here. MiL calling round re her famimly tree some time soon as I have had contact from someone who is related via my 83 year old MiL's mum - this lady's GtGrandfather and my MiL mother were brother and sister.

Hello....................There !!

Got all my shopping in, i bought some greetings cards and one of the envelopes is to small for the card...........good job i have some on standby, but they have'nt got 50 on !!

Never had any lunch, i will have a meal about 4ish to last me until the party..........i'm starving.........lol

Hello and good morning..........

Had a brillient night, friend had no idea - boy was she suprised !!

The party starts early today due to children being present, and they want to say thier goodbyes to thier friends too before emigrating, ohh i will miss her and her infectious laugh, she had me in stitches when we had the holiday in Rome - good old Jo !!

So i am off to have my bath now and do my hair, i dont know what time i will be home, if i dont see you today - have a good one !!!
