Busy knitting, got a bit of advice on following this 'not as easy as it looked' pattern. Haven't knitted for years even decades! so a bit of help welcomed.

When i was a young lad, in the good old days i used to knit wool squares for my mum, she stitched them together into blankets for charity, coo i remember it well, forgotten how to knit though, so no help there, hohohohohohoho

Good afternoon all,

Well we've got the wind, the rain and the cold. Not a very nice day. Getting my hair done tomorrow and then going into town with my little mummy-to-be. Who knows where we'll end up and what we'll end up buying!

After starting the pattern on my knitting, I realised I had gone wrong somewhere, there are 10 rows to the pattern so I had to undo the total twenty rows and start again. Glad I did though because now I have a lovely piece of knitting. Very proud of myself because I've never followed a pattern before and it looks great so far. Daughter very pleased with the results too :)

Got to pop out to the shops which I am not looking forward to but I'll run out of milk if I don't and that means no cups of tea - perish the thought!

Ooooh, i used to love making things with the children Rose.........

I remember when my daughter wanted to enter a compatition in school many eons ago. i got the lid of a box and put sand in it, i made deckchairs from the big cooks matches (taking the ends off)and an old piece of cloth, painted 2 eggs - man and woman, i also put some dolls stuff in the lid to make a beach scene.............on the top of the eggs i wrote Sam + Ella.............she won with lots of laughter from the assembly...........Edwina Currie had been in the papers all week about the samonella outbreaks and undercooked eggs !!!!!!!!
But.............i got the prize - a writing set from Harrods..........we made a deal, i would buy her the doll she wanted !!!...................Lol

Fond memories...........

Enjoy these times with Nathan - they are priceless !

mine are made with the clothes of these scarecrows i used to have on top of a cupboard .
nathans took a photo of them , he wantsto take it into school after the weekend .
we do it every year .used to do it with my kids
