Many thanks to you all for keeping my family in your thoughts. My uncle is home but is really not well at all. My sister works in the Stats dept at Health and Safety and commented on the types of asbestos related illnesses and cancers. When I googled it (asbestos>dormant>cancers) a disease called Mesothelioma came up which mentioned that it can lay dormant for between 10 and 50 years but can then be quite aggressive. This certainly seems to be true in my uncle's case if this is the diagnosis. It just makes me so sad to see him so unwell. I hope above everything that he and his family have the strength to cope with whatever may lay ahead. So hey, I'm grabbing tight hold of all the good news I can get right now!

Here's something interesting. My friend set up a knitting club in school which I am going to help her with. The few needles we had in school have somehow disappeared. So, I put a 'Wanted' on Freecycle for size 8/4mm needles. A very kind lady contacted me the same day with an offer of tons of needles and an offer to come and help out in school. She has what they call CRB clearance - vetted by the police to work/help in schools so how good is that?!

Well my firends, I'm off to brave the elements to go and get my paper, got my crossword to do with my Dad. Speak later, if I don't get blown away that is!
