Good for you Paul. I am hopeless case im afraid. I am pleased to say, only one of my five children ever took up the habbit, and that was after she left home. Shirley Ann

Never have, never will. Never did because my dad used to smoke 40 a day. Never will because he died aged 50 of lung and throat cancer.

Never have never will. The tax you'd put on yourself not only in health but in finance is rediculous. Especially today.

Shirley Ann, why on earth did you take it up again? No I am not a smoker, never will be as I value my health and want neither lung cancer or a heart attack. and, yes, I know that I could still fall victim to either but i don't intend to help them along. I try to avoid passive smoking too. Ann Glos

Yes I do but never smoke indoors, always outside Rain, hail, heat. I do consider other people when I smoke though and don't smoke around Grandchildren Regards Jackie

I was....gave up when first pregnant.....for 26 years... Started again Xmas before I came here....sad but true!! Will give up again! Jacquie xxxxx Lemon...?? How old did you say you were?????

Gave up nearly three years ago because of breathing problems :-( found out I have damaged my lungs due to heavy smoking , use two inhalers now but still happy and smiling :-)

Colleen - I started at 13ish cos (like most people) I thought it looked cool and most of my mates were trying to smoke as well. Also a bit of a rebellion thing too I suppose.
