Hi Kathy, I did laugh when I saw your message, waste of time me trying to get beauty sleep, nothing happens lol Anway looks as tho I have got a bit longer to get myself into shape to meet with P. as he messed up bigtime with the arrangements, sounds a bit distracted so hope he is ok but hey, not my problem, I have enough already lol Now I have his mobile number I can maybe chat with him and find out more, and catch up with him on another visit.
You sound as tho you are doing well, catching the bus etc. Hope your day was busy enough not to be boring but not too much to harass you!
Will try and call you next week when he is on late shift.

i was takin citalopram for short while,ur all correct in it makes you feel lonely (the depression not the pills)
i feel i am on my own as non sufferers think im a winger who just feels sorry for myself,anyone else had this sort of reaction.off tabs now as im being tested for epilepsy.

Hi Mike, have you had the mri and eeg scans yet for the possible epilepsy. My o.h. had them earlier this month as his doc thought he had temporal lobe epilepsy, but he has just been told he has to take soluble aspirin as the mri shows several small blood clots, his dad had several t.i.a.s a couple of years ago but he was much older, my o.h. has high blood pressure too.
I hope your tests come out clear.
I was on citalopram to try and stop my o.c.d, I hoard things and find it incredibly difficult to get rid of even newspapers, I have to read them through first and cut out anything of interest. I stopped taking the citalopram as they made no difference to me.
People can be very dismissive if you have depression, which I have had often over the years, and they say stupid things, like pull yourself together and think positive etc but unless they suffer themselves, they have no idea how hard it is to feel better. Fgs, if you had a choice would you really feel so low and despondent, and unable to cope with the stuff life throws at us.
Do keep popping in to this and other threads to keep your mind occupied and to have a laugh and a joke. There will usually be someone around,even if it is only me, I am a night owl lol and often think I am the only person on here in the wee small hours, but at least it is better than trying to sleep and not being able to, and getting more and more downhearted.

Are you in Uk, do you have anyone at home with you, if so, are they like my o.h., who will just say when I mention the pain from my fibromyalgia, yes we know you are ill! He doesn't understand how difficult it is to cope with the pain when I am standing cooking and then washing up after, he just thinks as he has been at work, I should cope!

mike your not alone many of us here have walked the same path. I xplaned it to my doctor this way. I could be in a crowed room and still feel lonely (forgive the spelling) on here we give tips on how we have coped with things they my work for you they my not but belive me if someone told me strip naked, tar and father yourself and run down the main street and it would all go away! I'd think about it! Now I bet you think I'am a nut case but that's ok you wouldn't be the only one. My tip try on find something to smile about once everyday keep your chin up xIrene

liz could your hubby be diabetic he sounds very much like my father-in-law was. you could say something to him one day and he would lol say the same thing to him the next and the roof would lift made you feel like you had to walk around with a white flag in your pocket. gave his poor wife hell. and everything was someone else's fault it was his way or the high way. had to bite my lip moor than once

liz if i decide to do it I'ii let you know so you can where a blind fold or maybe you'd like to join me lol ! we could give the town something to talk about!

Hi Irene, have just started a thread about his results, but you have described him very well, like treading on eggshells only I forget and then the flipppin' balloon goes up!
I don't think he is diabetic altho I do suspect he doesn't drink enough liquid, except the secret cider drinking. I think he gets dehydrated and that affects him. It is like living with someone years older than he is.

that's the one. It's something to look at you don't have to have a family history to get itand in some people stress can bring it on
