A big welcome to Betty and Mike, you are never alone on here, always someone about. Mike it's the illness that no-one can see, it's silent and cruel and yes we all feel that way. other people can't see it so they don't know how to react to what they think is us being miserable and whinging.
Keep looking in and you may want to start getting your rants off your chest, we've all done it and felt better, no-one judges on this thread.
Betty you have had some hard knocks lately, and I am disgusted at your gp. That is exactly why people try and struggle on on their own, and end up getting worse I may add. Glad you took Anns advice and came on, she is a lovely lady. You actually have the experience of living with a ( tried a few times to spell it, but I mean your son). You could get comfort from the lovely peeps on here and may be able to help others, we all have different problems and experiences, that's why I think this thread is working so well.

Could I ask for something for myself peeps? I need some big hugs, I couldn't sleep last night thinking of Vicky, (she had e-mailed me telling me she might have to go in during the night). Consequently I got up this morning and went all wobbly at top of the stairs.
Crash, bang, wallop all the way down, I've only hurt my back and hip but they are where my pain is anyway so it is worse. I sent hubby off to work saying I was alright but think I will ring and ask him to come home. I wouldn't care but I fell last night and twisted my knee so walking is even more crazy, do you think I should start a thread for gormless grannies?

Caz - just read part of your post - are you ok and has OH come home yet????? If you are not ok perhaps you should ring the help line or an ambulance!!!!!!

morning gang and hello to yu Mike. So nice to see you on here - lots of mates on here I can tell you and we all understand what you are going through.
The lack of understanding and compssion of people in general regarding mental illness is dreadful but they all must have someone in their family in the same boat. Statistics say one in four of us will suffer some type of mental illness in their lifetime. Don't be afraid to talk about it openly and sod em if they don't understand, that's their problem, not yours,m but do not be ashsmed of it - it is nothing to be ashamed of any more than if you had measles ior a broken leg. As has been said, always someone on her to lend a hand, to listen to you and hopefully give you some good advice and support.

Caz - wot u like!!!! Are you OK now honey? I do wish you'd stop chucking yourself downstairs - it's not good now is it. We'll have to put you forward as a stuntsperson for the next James Bond film if you carry on like this you know. I hope your fingers are alright so you can type and let us know how things are going. By the way, have you got that new wedding ring yet?

Thanks Jude, Hubby will be home about lunch time, they have sent him to their other building for the day, typical. I have calmed down a bit but still shaky, I don't need to go to hospital or anything, just a nice quiet day and plenty of rest.
Not nice to laugh at me Jude, it was funny though wasn't it. I think what Jude is refering to is, when I got to the bottom of stairs my nighty and dressing gown were up round my boobs. When hubby came running from kitchen I said quick get my nighty down, no-one in the house but us two so lord knows why I said that, must have been shock coz I did wonder where I was for a minute.

Not yet Ann, the one I chose has been discontinued so I chose another one, still white gold, but it is the same as before they have to send away for a bigger one makng. I have worn hubbys for a couple of months and it's comfy so man said I need the same size.

Hi Mike I try not to be a whinger but my aches and pains feel real!! People ask how I am, I say okay thanks, cos they don't really want to listen to me whinge they have heard it all before. So then they think I'm better!! I try to hide how sad I feel, but then no one knows there is anything wrong, so I feel a fraud. I'm really so sad and lonley but can't be bothered to do anything about it! Welcome to our club xx

Here's another gormless Granny, but I upended on the ice outside- while carrying 2 dozen eggs!!
mercifully the eggs didn't break!!

Caz, I hope you are starting to feel a little better after your helterskelter ride, you must have forgotten the mat tho, and fancy suggesting such things to your poor hubby at such a time, pull your nightie down indeed! I am shocked!! Seriously, hope you don't end up too stiff and sore. A nice hot bath or shower might help? Only when your o.h. is about to help if you get stuck tho lol

And as for you Mary, you will have to change your name to Egg saver, you are always managing to save the eggs lol Start worrying about your own self, don't want you doing damage to yourself. That's the main reason I don't like snow, cos it gets all slippery and I hate falling down, have done it a few times in the past and it hurts! I do have a bit more fat on me to cushion falls but always seem to catch the bony bits, like elbows, back of the head etc.

Hi all Hi Liz, missed you again last few mornings. I have been in bed all afternoon and slept, still feel very sore and stiff, also my hip feels like it's got carpet burns, have to get hubby to look, so going to have a hot bath now and take a book to stay in longer. 15 minutes before my chemo then I'm off, see you all tomorrow.

Evening all

Hope you are all doing fine despite falls bumps and bruises.
My day at the fhs started slow but didn't even manage to grab a cup of tea later on .
We had a man from California who travels the world searching for people who are in line for unclaimed estates .He lives in a big house and clearly makes bigdosh .So if ever I get over my agraphobia I know what I want to do !!!
If I had known this back when I worked in Somerset House with access to all the registers I could have been rich !!
Well t.v is the usual rubbish on saturday so I might go play with my son's wii as I am getting quite good at mario galaxy . ( sad isn't it !! )
