*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 5 May 2009 22:05

My hubbys cousin [15 yrs younger than him] is a part time fireman, looking for a full time job as one.
My cousin , 20yrs older than me is a retired nurse... does that count ..? lol..

Do you have a dog warden in your area...? [impounds loose dogs, checks on fouling etc]]

Haribo

Haribo Report 5 May 2009 22:08

Dog wardens come under the local council, you dont ever see them patrolling the streets etc....do they sit in an office somewhere waiting for a phone call..lol

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 5 May 2009 22:16

If you needed spectacles , would you consider laser eye surgery.
[sorry can't put in a question mark, shift key playing up]

Haribo

Haribo Report 5 May 2009 22:20

I wear contact lenses outside and use glasses indoors...I have considered surgery but am not brave enough...My son wants it done, he was advised to wait until he is 25.

do you know anybody who has had it done?

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 5 May 2009 22:32

Yes, a stylist at my hairdressers, She's in her late 30's ,says it's brilliant.
I thought about it but although am not frightened of surgery or pain, i am not confident enough to have it done in case something went wrong. One's sight is so precious. I wear contacts for holidays and when it suits me.lol.
Son and dau wear contacts, son 20[ not 21 as I put before.lol] wants laser treatment...he's only just this last 2 months started wearing contacts and has never worn glasses.

Does your local hospital charge for car parking and do they have a parking problem,i;e not enough spaces.

Haribo

Haribo Report 5 May 2009 22:37

The answer is yes to both questions...When I worked there I used to have a parking permit.

Does your Son Still work in Asda's...in between college/Uni?

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 5 May 2009 22:42

Good memory.lol .Yes he does, and is enjoying it, we [ he and I ] now have a card for 10 percent discount on most purchases, so I don't do Te**o's much now.

How is your leg improving .

Haribo

Haribo Report 5 May 2009 22:49

I remember because my daughter also works there between Uni, She was only given one discount card which she gave to me...like you, I hardly use Texxo's anymore.

Although I am back at work (after 7 months off) I am still not back to 100%...I still can't crouch all the way down or walk up and down stairs properly.....I walk up/down the stairs like a woman in her 90's..lol....The Orthapaedic Surgeon said that it is quite usual for a knee dislocation to take between 9-12 months for full recovery ...Mine will be 9 months on the 15th of this month...

What did you have for dinner this evening?

Anne

Anne Report 6 May 2009 19:41

*$parkling $andie* Report 6 May 2009 22:59

*$parkling $andie* Report 7 May 2009 10:50

Not a lot, but when I'm mailing abroad I make a point of buying my books of stamps there rather than the supermarket, every little bit of trade helps to keep them open.

Do you bank online.?

Haribo

Haribo Report 7 May 2009 13:38
