I could have told Linda that Wattle was another name for Acacia, I expect that niether does she know it is the same species that Mimosa flowers come from,

Tec, we wouldn't need clothes, just wear fig leaves

Every day we could turn over a new leaf

No I didn't know that Tec.

I was going to suggest that being just two chaps, you wouldn't need to iron because you wouldn't need clothes, but I thought you might think it was a little rude

I am off to bed now. It is annoying that the boards wouldn't work earlier on.
Never mind, tomorrow is another day.

Good night everyone

If I want to be cut loose on an island of dessert, so be it.

Allan, I have a plan for escaping from the Thread Police.
They patrol the thread in two watches. The first watch is Diane and Barbra, that's easy, we just need a diversionary tactic. Berona and Linda are a different matter. They have eyes like radar screens, noses like exocet missiles, and a look like a Taser Gun that can drop a man at fifty yards, so we need to consider those two carefully.

Allan,
Interesting comment you made about the smell of Wattle reminding you of Christmas in the UK. the smell is very like marzipan, or almond paste. Also in the UK , mimosa blossom was only ever available in the shops around Christmas. Hardly ever see it now.

Tec,

I think that it could be the latter of your suggestions.

My mum always had flowers in the house at Christmas.

Berona

Berona Report 6 Nov 2009 23:19

So! I have eyes like radar screens, nose like an exosomething missile, and a look like a taser gun, do I?.....You'll keep, Tec. I'll remember that!

I'm still getting over the fact that I have had a stick blender for about five years and have never used it! This year, I made up a lot of pea and ham soup and mashed it because I had given away my big blender when I moved house three years ago. Never thought of using the little one!
OK - so I'm a bit slow - but I claim old age as my excuse - it comes in handy.

Must go now. Goodnight to those heading for bed and have a good day to the others.

Have a nice day Berona, and keep your eyes peeled!

Tec, Now that the Sisterhood have all retired to do whatever their respective time zones allow them to do we can make a break for the safety of other threads!

Yes Berona, but I will be long gone over the horizon, onto some other thread, with my partner in crime, you'll never find us, I might surface over there as Augustine, or Henrietta Philpot.
Allan might be Dudley of Dumfries, or Dagmar of Dagenham.
Then Sue will return, and we'll come back here as the angels we are.

Ah well Tec, I really must escape back into the real world.

The reticulation requires some attention so I'm off to play with water (Better than playing with fire)

I'll bid you goodnight and we'll catch up later

Sorry Tec....a garden watering system involving pipes and either sprinklers or drippers (which deliver water directly to the base of the plant)

Good afternoon young Allan:-))

And, what are you up to? mmmmmm

Oh, I got my stick blender today, you will like this...
I made a milk shake for my young son, most of it ended all over the kitchen benches, walls, cupboards etc, it took me ages to clean up the mess.
He enjoyed the rest of the milk shake that was left, he said it was the best one he'd ever had.WMSL after I'd cleaned up all the mess!!!!!

I hope you're behaving yourself!!!!

Good afternoon Carole, or evening as the case maybe.

I still do not know how stirring milk with a stick can produce a milk "shake"

the mayhem has commenced :0))
