Welcome back Linda - I hope you saw that big pink ribbon around the Eucalyptus tree as you drove in.
Cannula - so that's what they are called - I know when I have had a blood transfusion I got very bad tissuing as they kept coming in and turning the darn thing as well.

Morning Sue - Yes when you get new things it never stops with just the one you become like an alcoholic always need one more for the road.

May I ask what is on your top half Tec - I am having trouble with visions of little straw boater, black net stockings and a slinky mini skirt - but it is the bare chest, you could catch a chill... and then Berona would need to pop over with some medication.

Persey

Good Morning Sue,
Hope you like the new suite when it arrives, nice to have new things, but I suppose this is the beginning of the entire lounge being revamped, new this, new that. Does your poor OH realise this? I suspect he does!.

I don't actually see you as a sedate person, I'm sure you're being coy, and could think of wild manic things I could do.

I feel like tripping up a traffic warden, pulling the vicars wig off, something like that, just to break the day up.

I think if you turn up in your maid's outfit that will be enough of a shock to the vicar - his wig will come off by itself and his eyebrows will disappear into infinity. Tec.

Good morning Berona and Sue

Good evening to Tec and a warm welcome back to Linda

A good whatever to Persephone.

......And who gave Tec my maid's uniform??? I was looking for it thismorning but had to wear my 'normal' street clothes; it was very upsetting as the bins did not recognise me!

I know Allan - I have just been working the switchboard and the bins have been reporting in saying who is this strange being. But they spotted Tec and it was all on Lookee there lookee there he is dancing everywhere - it was too much for two of them zig zagging around, they've lost their wheels and one other one is sitting upside down with his lid hanging open.

Whatever indeed.

Hope you had a good time. You will be able to do a Mary Tyler Moore and throw your Beret up in the air with panache.
Well I am just about in Summer wear here - I am not as hot to trot as those Aussies but we are getting there.

Oh goodie! Back to normal! Welcome back Linda and Pat! Things have been very quiet without you. That was meant as a compliment, by the way!

So - both of you - how was your holiday? Tell us about it! I love London and I've never been to Teneriffe - so I'm all ears!

Persephone Report 25 Nov 2009 21:48

Sorry Tec - it was your vision of loveliness with no top that threw me.

Washes Allan's maid's outfit - will get Fiona aka Ruby to iron it - she is always ironing and it will look as good as .... well as good as.

On our radio people have been sending in childrens' sayings and one little guy who must come from a family of petrolheads only knew two cars. When asked what they were he said Holden and Fordsux.

Allan Report 25 Nov 2009 21:54

Persey, I am quite capable of ironing my own clothes, thanks. Just pack it into the nearest bin and I will receive it in due course

I was given two explanations for 'Ford'

1) Full Of Rusty Dents

2) Found On Rubbish Dump

Needless to say, I do not have a Ford

"Out of the mouths of babes"......and they usually echo one, if not both of the parents!

One of my grandchildren has a way of coming out with the most embarrassing statements at times. Mother chastises her and says "I don't know where she gets that from".

I do.
but I'm a peaceful person. I say nothing.
