There are four GPs at my local health centre. Everyone is registered with one of the partners. We can always make an appointment with our own GP usualy between 10 and 14 days, by which time you've either recovered or died anyway.
In cases of urgency you can see a doctor the same day if you phone before 8-30 am, and at the discretion of the Triage Nurse, but can only see whichever GP is available of the four.
If you are in real trouble, a doctor is a doctor when all is said and done.
I only ever refuse to see one of the four, who is considered by everyone to be rude, and a generally very unpleasant man.

Sue,
Do you think Allan is mixing with the wrong company? - he used to be such a fine, fresh faced, clean living, up-standing young man.

Can you use some of your motherly disipline to bring him back into line?

Tec.

(I'm only jealous because I'm too old for such capers)

Watch it, Allan. That beanie will only stretch so much. If your head gets any bigger, I'll have to knit another one!

Would that be manic - or dynamic phase?

I'm thinking of enrolling you in Theological College, with a view to becoming a priest - The Diocese of WA should keep you out of mischief

No one is ganging up on you Allan - just concerned that you may be falling on stony ground.....

You don't really want all that, do you Allan? (I can imagine your OH having a good laugh at all this).

Anyway, what more could you want than the bevy of beauty you get here? You are surrounded by us!

Goodnight Tec. Sleep tight.

I haven't had any emails wanting to correspond with me, but I have, in the past, had the ones offering to put $8000 in my bank account and all they need is $6000 of it. Lucky me! Also, that same poor little girl with the debilitating disease - has been dying for many years.

No, your email address is not available on any of Ancestry's sites, although your full name might be. I've found my own and names of my family on Ancestry's World Connect. Put there by people (without our permission) who have included us in their wide sweep of relatives, where we are connected to in-laws of theirs. I check occasionally, and if I find any of our names, I contact the tree-owner and ask them to remove them. I've never found any of them be correct yet! However, I've never known of any email addresses to be available.

Must go and get a few things done - without popping back to the 'puter!

See you all soon.

Hello,
I am finally back. we had a great time and the weather was generally very good, about 30 degrees, with only a couple of days which were a bit too cloudy.

We should have been back yesterday, but had an eighteen hour flight delay,so I have seen quite enough of Cancun airport to last me a life time.

We finally arrived back at Manchester airport at ten to one this morning. Unfortunately we had gone to the airport on the train and of course those don't run during the night. The first direct train home wasn't until 6.20am. We managed to get back slightly earlier by making a change, but even so we had to wait until 4.30am for the first leg home. We finally got home at 8am, only to find that it was snowing.

I have managed to grab three hours sleep, but am still very tired.

I will try and catch up later, I hope nothing drastic has happened in my absence.

Oh I have taken a liking to a cocktail called Miami Vice, so shall require that to be served to me at regular intervals in future!

Welcome Back Linda,

Glad you had a great time - was beginning to wonder where you were - hoping you hadn't been abducted by the Comancheros and held to ransom.
I had heard on BBC World Service that parts of Mexico were having record rainfall, and the Mexican Army were resueing people from the flooded areas. Had visions of you being given a firemans lift by a Mexican soldier.

Nothing drastic has occurred in your absence - Mother went away for a few days. Allan went amock for a few days.
I expect you will catch up with it all later.

Hope you are soon recovered from that horrendous journey home,

Tec

Thank you for your warm welcome back Tec.

I didn't see any Mexican firemen unfortunately, although as the local Mayan population were tiny in stature, I doubt that they could have lifted me!

We only had a small amount of rain and the heavy showers didn't last long. Although we had one day which was coldish, the rest were wo warm, that we were on the beach all of the time, even though it was sometimes cloudy. It was ideal weather for being a blonde, I have pale skin,so have to be careful. OH is very brown and I am a nice tan colour.

I have actually read every page since I left, a mammoth undertaking. though I doubt that I will remember much of it. I am glad that everyone seems to be well
