I must be off. I need to get some things done and then I can relax for the rest of the day. What a lovely chat we've all had although it's sad that our Diane is leaving for awhile. I haven't heard from dear Alison yet. No point in sending a message again as the last one hasn't been opened:-( I guess we can only hope for the best. See you all later.

I am off too, but to bed. I have been on the phone again.

I hope that you can chat again before Friday Diane.

I am sure your OH is secretly delighted to be helping your mum Sue, well maybe on second thoughts he isn't.

Bye to everyone else, I keep checking my messages Allan but that email address hasn't appeared yet. Methinks you are chickening out.

Sorry everyone, I realise that is an opening for more dodgy jokes from Allan

Well, I had better be off too. Don't know whether to start on the laundry cupboard or not. Shouldn't be as bad as the bathroom. A lot of my problem was that a neighbour worked for a manufacturer of body washes, body sprays, moisturisers, etc.; and she amassed a large supply of 'seconds'. The employees could take what they wanted of the tubes which had been rejected, mostly because the printing was not centred, or the colouring of the tube was defective - and she made a habit of helping herself each time she passed the area. Consequently, each time she saw me, she would hand me a bag full of these products. Add that to the gifts I received over the years - hence the multitude!

I shouldn't have that problem with the laundry, but you never know!!!

Bye Berona,
What have you been eating - this sudden spurt of energy sorting things out? My OH sorted her laundry cupboard recently, and found things there she'd forgotten she had, there were sheets, pillow cases, table cloths, napkins etc etc.
She didn't want them, but couldn't throw them out. I guess we are of a generation that didn't just throw stuff out.

Well I'm off to bed now - so enjoy your stint in the garden Allan,
Take care everyone,
Goodnight
Tec

Well, this thread is beginning to languish near the bottom of the page, despite what I told it yesterday (when all my troubles seemed so far away)

A sound thrashing is now in order!

Good morning thread.

Ooh Allan, are we going to be turning the thread into another GR book readers group? Although I am not sure about the type of books your alter ego wrote lol

hello Janet, though probably goodbye as well as you were just passing through

I am watching a Sparrow hawk sitting high in a tree in the garden. It is just waiting for some poor little unsuspecting bird to pass by. It then sits on the fence at the bottom of the garden and dismembers its prey. It drops all the unwanted bits, so OH has to go and pick them up

Good Afternoon Linda,

Hope you are feeling better and that your head is not so odd!

It's a beautiful day here - blue sky, and wall to wall sunshine, that has some warmth in it too. The view across the bay towards the snow covered mountains of Snowdonia is spectacular today - so clear.

Did your sparrow hawk catch his lunch? we get red kites, and buzzards hunting for prey around us. I recently saw a buzzard pounce on a small rabbit and fly off up the mountain with it - poor bunny.

Now off on my ten mile hike to the shops because we need a few things - speak to you later.

Hi Janet, I can't imagine wishing summer away after the winter we've had, but I know what you mean about having too much of a good thing.
Hope your studying is not too hard - take care.

Tec

Good Evening CC,

I agree - Allan should be allowed into the sunshine occassionally, I have noticed he's looking a little green about the gills lately.
If you think he's wilting, we could stand him in a bowl of water, like a garden ornament come bird bath.

I'm sure Berona is not about to give birth - she would be so surprised.
Could be that she's met a fella, and clearing the decks in readiness for a house guest. I will of course be positively green with envy if that happens. Maybe she's fed up waiting for the cruise, and he's a better dancer anyway.
Oh well - second best again.

I think that it would be a miracle of medical science if Berona gave birth.
Don't worry Tec,I am sure that she will never spurn you

The Sparrow Hawk was disturbed by a flock of wood pigeons, we have millions of those things so it flew away

CC, I think that just about every person in Oz English ancestors,so we all qualify. Anyway OH has a genuine convict. He was sent out in 1842 for stealing a silver watch. Stupid man pawned it in his own name. He got ten years for his trouble. I have all his convict records but the last trace of his was in 1848 in Port Arthur in Tasmania.

Hello

I haven't been on GR for years and didn't realise my cousin, Alison, was posting here, so thanks to Sue for letting me know.

Ali is quite ill at the moment. She's in hospital and not in pain.

I will let her know you are thinking of her.

I'll pop back later, but am going to a FH meet in Toowoomba for the weekend.

Libby.
